Unlike almost any other similar site, the top section of our FAQ gives a great deal of information on THIS site. We would like to know if you have read any parts of it.

Folks, we need your help here. Now then, I know there have been a lot of polls lately. I know many people hate them. But, if you have never replied in a poll please reply to this one. And if you have replied to a poll before then... please fill in this one too! The information that we get from this post will help us with site development.

Feel free to leave a reply if you wish.

Please be truthful. If you are untruthful and say that you have been to FAQ and you have not, that will not help us with site development!

Reading the FAQ during the first few times you visit a website helps you get an idea of the type of people you are (about to be) dealing with.

You can get a lot of information about what's written or NOT written into a FAQ:

  • If it's just the "boilerplate" FAQ that comes with the forum software.
  • If it's been heavily edited.
  • If there are lot of little details.
  • If there are glaring grammar/spelling mistakes.

There are zillions of little clues you can obtain about people if you just pay attention to what they say and HOW they say it.

Even if I only skim, I almost always read the FAQ when I go to a new website.

I dunno'... Call it intuition.

John,

Most of our FAQ are items that will increase the understanding and enjoyment of the site. I am sure if nothing else, this post will cause a few more to read it!

And, yes I have read it and have found it helpful.

Linda
