Welcome to The Fur Den, the website totally dedicated to the appreciation of fur!
The following is part of the original welcome message by FrBrGr, Founder of the Fur Den:
"The original Fur Den was designed to celebrate fur as a fashion, but it was also designed to recognize the fact that fur, for many of us, has a very special and personal meaning. The Fur Den is home for all the men and women from all over the world that have experienced and understand the magical sensuality of fur. It is a place where you, fur lover, can stop and visit and share your thoughts and emotions with people of like mind; people who understand your feelings and who will accept you for who and what you are. It is a community of friends, but also a family. It welcomes diversity in lifestyle as well as in culture, socio-economic status and political viewpoint. With one exception. If you are here with an animal rights agenda, either as a member of one of the activist groups or simply on your own mission, then here is an invitation for you to leave here and now. The Fur Den is not the forum for your views."
In that same message, FrBrGr thanked many people. However, the one thank you that stood out for me was the one to MinkMan, who established the very first fur lover's website on the internet, "The Fur Club." It was MinkMan, who blazed the first trail.
It is my wish, as present owner of The Fur Den, to thank our site founder, FrBrGr. He made this site what it is today. In fact, he created the very first Fur Den. He followed it through to our second phase with Melody O’Hair. He stayed with us “through thick and thin,” and we will never forget that. Finally, he was the force in developing this tremendous site that we have today. His input is reflected in every tiny “nook” of this tremendous site!
Melody O'Hair is now a "sister site" of The Fur Den. Shortly after this site was formed, the Melody O'Hair site went down, never to return. At that time, the folks from the Wool and Sweater forum at Melody came here to join us. Today, their site is very much a part of the Den.
I hope that each and every person who visits The Fur Den will find peace here. We hope that you will love our little site, and will feel free and willing to contribute your thoughts, feelings and experiences to it. Please add to the dreams of FrBrGr and White Fox and every staff member old and new, and help us continue to build a tiny world here for all of us to enjoy.
