Melody O'Hair

Awhile back I asked Joe Al how Melody O'Hair began. The following was part of his answer:

"The original idea for Melody O'Hair came out of a list of links about wool and fuzzy sweaters (fur links were added later) that Fuzzywol published on the net some years ago. After a year or two he added a small forum (the only free forum that was available at that time). It was quite popular but had some really nasty, off-topic and spam posts as well. One day Fuzzywol decided to make a real forum on a real site, because the other site went down several times and data was lost. That's when he started the first Melody O'Hair forum and asked me to help. Fuzzywol changed the forum software once, a fur forum was added and then The Fur Den joined with Melody O'Hair. Some time later he decided to 'retire'."

It is my pleasure, as present owner, to thank Fuzzywol for founding Melody O'Hair, and of course to thank Joe Al and Walter who have carried on the "woolie" tradition and brought Melody O'Hair to where it is today. We understand that the site that Fuzzywol made was, at one point, actually very advanced for it's time in graphics, design, etc. His unfailing dedication at that time was an inspiration for all of us to make Melody O'Hair the site it is today.

Today, Melody O'Hair is a "sister site" of The Fur Den. Shortly after the Fur Den was moved here, the original Melody O'Hair site went down, never to return. At that time the folks from the Wool Forum there came here to join us. Today their site is very much a part of the Den, but with their own forums page, URL, front page, etc.

I hope that each and every person who visits Melody O'Hair will find peace here. We hope that you will love our little site, and will feel free and willing to contribute your thoughts, feelings and experiences. You will be adding to the dreams of Fuzzywol, Joe Al, Walter and every staff member old and new, by helping to build a tiny world here for all of us to enjoy.
