I don't mean buying an actual fur. I mean any books, movies, video games, etc. that feature fur in some way, and that's why you bought it.

Fashion magazine back issues: I don't remember the month and year of all of them, but enough to get some wonderful spreads and ads.

Budget Living Oct/Nov 2003: I can't seem to find another copy online, so I can't get an intact version. I bought it when it was on the rack since it featured a lady wearing a white rabbit jacket.

The Widow of Desire: The hardcover version has a lady wearing a white mink coat and hat. The book itself is a cold war thriller about the wife of a furrier who uncovers a conspiracy in the waning days of the USSR. One heavily featured fur is a full length russian lynx.

Bride of the Rat God: Cover features a brunette (the eponymous would-be bride) wearing a fur wrap. In the book she does wear several furs, since she's a popular Hollywood actress during the silent era.

Final Fantasy XIII: I love Vanille's base design, including her fur skirt. But the overall look is overdone, just like the gameplay.

Persona 4 Arena: I like the Persona games, but I wasn't sure about a fighting game spinoff. Then I saw Mitsuru's new look, with the white fox coat.

Casino: So many furs are worn in this movie.

White Christmas: My family already likes this movie, but I got a blu-ray copy for myself, just to see the Haynes sisters' dresses at the end in full detail.

Beauty & the Beast: Again, would have gotten it anyway, but no way I'd miss Belle in her glamorous fur cape (like what Elsa will be wearing), and I admit I bought The Enchanted Christmas because of her fur-trimmed jacket, but the film overall isn't something I care for. Incidentally the lack of fur in the remake was the deal breaker. It already looked visually unappealing, and it became pointless to me when Belle's red cape turned out to just have white trimming. They couldn't spring for fake fur, or feathers? Guardians of the Galaxy 2 could do that, even if it was for a gag.

Why Did I Get Married: I'm indifferent to Tyler Perry's movies, but I couldn't pass up all the furs worn in the first part.

Who Shot Johnny Rock (DVD release): I think the Don Bluth games, and from what I hear Tex Murphy's games, are some of the only truly good FMV games. This game isn't one of them, but you don't have to get far to see the eponymous guy's girlfriend wearing a fox wrap as she hires the player character.

That Lady in Ermine: Betty Grable wears two large ermine coats, one designed to still show part of her legs.

Dark Parables - Rise of the Snow Queen: The cover features the Snow Queen wearing a fur-trimmed coat. This game also introduced me to the current wave of point & click adventure games, many are made in Russia and other eastern Europe countries, so many more feature fur as well (most can be seen in some way in the demo versions).

Before the internet was born, I used to spend time looking at fur pictures in old copies of 'Vogue' from the 70's and 80's. Wow, there were some wonderful photo spreads!

The problem was, that I could only access them through my local library which is situated near the University. Of course, they were for reference only so I had to look at them in the company of others which tended to be students and young professionals studying for exams. I remember there was one day when the library was almost full so I was wedged in between a young woman studying law and a guy studying very complex looking figures! Boy, did I feel self conscious sitting between them ogling fur photos?!

The ability to see great fur pictures in the privacy of my own place is a blessing now but I wonder what these young academics thought I was up to. I did, eventually, buy some old Vogues on eBay but there was perhaps a thrill to be found from doing something slightly elicit.

I bought a complete set of 'Dynasty on DVD from a thrift shop and fast forwarded them through looking for the 'furry bits'. Alas, it wasn't nearly as furry as I remembered but I only had the early seasons before Joan Collins was a regular feature. Maybe I should keep looking.

Persona 4 Arena: I like the Persona games, but I wasn't sure about a fighting game spinoff. Then I saw Mitsuru's new look, with the white fox coat.

Lulu wears a dress with blue fox details on Final Fantasy X, and Cate Archer, in No One Lives Forever 2, uses a jacket with fur muffs in snowy levels.

I own a DVD copy of Forever Lulu and thats pretty much it where my fur media collection begins and ends. After that I pretty much save pics from pinterest and tumblr onto my hard drive and then watch videos on youtube like everyone else.

I'm more surprised to know someone who have NOLF 2 than the reason for you to have it HAHA

I remember getting excited to "collaterally" be able to play persona arena 4, since I bought the 360 for PGR4 and Forza Horizon. and charlie's angels full throttle. demi moore's sable scene worth the entire movie.

Despite the rights for the NoLF series being in limbo, amazon sells copies of the series for surprisingly low amounts.

Plus it may still run on Windows 10. I may see that, and let you know. If it is, then it can run on xp - 8 as well, and anyone interested can pick up a copy without worrying about high collector prices.

Like Panther 10, I bought "Forever Lulu" to follow that white fox coat throughout. Also on YouTube there is a TV movie with Carol Burnett and Elizabeth Taylor "Between Friends" where Carol wears a long raccoon coat for the whole movie, and Liz wears a fur cape and a sable or mink coat as well..

I bought a book about furs titled "Furs Appreciation of Luxury a Guide to Value." The cover feature a man and woman engulfed in furs. It was educational and exciting to me. I also purchased movies and magazines. The most money I spent was on a Madonna VIDEO. I loved "Material Girl" and was hoping it included fur. I was rewarded as she uses the fluffy tails in her white fox stole to swat two men on there knees for her!

For me, one of the great attractions of Amazon and eBay was being able to buy books about fur that had been long out of print. As a result, I ended up with a small library of books about fur. It's also been possible to buy magazines and fur related literature aimed at the fur industry.

Of course, being able to buy photos cut from magazines and having them professionally framed was great too.

There are so many historical fashion books featuring great outfits with fur. Some of my favorites are "The Encyclopedia of World Costume" by Doreen Yarwood, "The Mode in Costume" by R. Turner Wilcox, and "The Mode in Furs" also by Wilcox.

Kind of off topic but as a young fur lover I clipped a newspaper article one Sunday morning about a man arrested in a consignment shop masturbating into a pile of furs, he was apprehended totally naked! I was extremely fascinated with the story and kept the clipping for many years before losing it. It was at least some confirmation that I was not alone in the world with my attraction to furs!

You know, furnation, the rise and rise of the internet helped me realise that others were 'interested' in fur too. One of the first sites I found as I explored the net about 17 odd years ago was the 'furtwins' site which was home for me for ages.

My most recent purchase for fur content, also satisfied another interest of mine, the cultures of the Far East.

I bought a Bluray copy of the recent Kung Fu movie 'The Grandmaster'. One of the driving forces behind the purchase, was a fight scene on a train station platform, with the actress Ziyi Zhang wearing a coat with a fur collar and cuffs. The slow motion shots showing wonderful detail of the movement of the fur.

The scene is even shown by itself on youtube.

The first piece of fur media I ever bought was the 1972 version of "Call of the Wild" starring Charlton Heston. Nowadays, I try to find just about any fur-related media online first, quality permitting.

Truly a LOL moment reading this! I was so bad. In college I visited the campus library, and found the magazine section. I would thumb through Vogue and Bazaar seeking the fur pix. When I found furs to my liking I used a razor blade to cut out the pages, then slipped them in a zipped valise to bring home and enjoy! I'm so embarrassed to look back on that hormone driven exercise.... well, just a little.

When i was a child, i bought some fashion magazines about "coats", of course some of the coats are of furs. As the internet came to my world, i found FFG which really meant a lot for me for more than 10 years. meanwhile i began to collect the dvds like midnight blue, forever lulu, brantome 81(french movie) which had many fur scenes. but my best memory was the days with DC++, people can share the fur staffs.

I'm sure RonGav that I would have done the same had the opportunity arisen but, alas, the library was usually pretty busy. Besides, the magazines had to be ordered by filling in a slip with ones details on it so any unsocial behaviour could potentially have been traced back.

It's very noticeable that these vintage magazines now change hands for large sums on the internet. I've seen vintage Vogues go for up to £60 or so. I'm sure that Condé Nast could be on to a nice little earner if they released their old fur photos in high resolution.

One that fell just short was the recent animated film "Batman & Harley Quinn". In one scene Harley is looking for a new outfit, and we see she has a variety of costumes, including what she calls "Arctic Harley", which is a white fur jacket. Unfortunately we just see it on its hanger, and not her wearing it, or else I'd certainly buy it when I could (though I hope fan art of it gets made).

I play GTA V Online as well and I would say the women fur-trimmed jackets are much better and lovely than those of men. (I would post some of my female character wearing those furs if you want to have a look )
