You know those fur trimmed hoods, some that look great and are very big? Here is an article about fur trimmed hood from the Chicago trib. Yes there was a study done on it and it keeps you warmed than untrimmed hoods.

I often wonder about the trim seeing that its been used for years.

On fur coats, is it warmer with the fur side to the body or outside?

I remember when I bought my used coyote parka I asked the furrier if he could line the hood with coyote instead of having just material on the inside.. he didn't seem to interested in doing it... I may goto another furrier around here and see if they would do it...

Thanks Minkme!

I wonder how large the effect is in the paper, up to a factor of 6 compared to without fur.

Anyway, fur also keeps me warm from within
