Yes, now you're ready for Alaska.

Was your furrier design this or was it your design? Did they think it was odd to have such a coat for a man?

This fur is my "design" but there is nothing really special about it. It has plain whole skin sleeves and a normal shawl collar and vertical pelts, but other than that there is no design specifications that make the coat special. There is no chevron or herringbone pattern, no hood, no accents on the collar or sleeves, no special hem design, no nothing. So the coat is a pretty basic barebones kind of design, only everything is oversized so it's more dramatic looking. And as far as my furriers reaction is concerned, they were a little surprised that I agreed to purchase a custom coat that was this big, but I was willing to pay for it so they weren't about to turn me away. Besides I've been a customer of theirs for just over 5 years now and they know I like the big plus sized foxes but this coat is excessive for even my standards lol.

I have never met a furrier who thought a fur was odd for me. And I like quite feminine furs

Yeah, in my experience a stylist at a furrier who is routinely rude to customers and has a habit of turning people away usually doenn't remain employed for very long. And if the boss of the company does this then don't expect for that business to be open for very long.

Hey everyone, so I've had a change of heart when it comes to sharing pics of my coat. You guys have my permission to post them if you want. If you own any Tumblr, Facebook or Pinterest groups that are dedicated to pictures of fur then feel free to share the images on your various sites

As long as its not pornographic or erotic I'm okay with that. Though why would you want to Photoshop a fur that's already ridiculously large? Isn't this kind of a fantasy come to life already?

Be sure to tell your friend that the real thing already weighs 40 lbs and nearly 80 inches across the chest/bust. And be sure to tell him that the collar on my coat is already 15" across on each side which gives it a maximum measurement of 30" wide from one side to the other. Be sure to film this because I want to see what his reaction looks like once reality sets in..

My beautiful lady's new crystal Fox.

Wow, that's a really gorgeous coat. I love the collar!

I notice you're a Kiwi too (I'm from nz but live in Aus). Could I ask where you found such a great coat?

Hi. We got it in eBay- Canadian site. Ended getting it here for under $900

Got to watch the global shipping program!

As we've been burnt by it. Don't by anything shipped that way.

But we've had many furs sent internationalinally. Other than being careful about import duties, there's some bargains out there in 'our' winter time.

Wow that seems like an incredible deal! I had no idea about the global shipping program. Seems there's a lot i should consider before buying a fur from overseas! Did you have to pay any import duties on that crystal fox?

Yes. Basically anything over $300 you must pay import duty into nz. It sometimes will calculate it in the auction sure for you.

We always calculate it in to our budget first. So chose your upper limit based on total cost to the door. I'm not sure about Aus, but kiwi customs have been really good every time we've had something sent over for us.

I normally contact them as soon as it looks like it's coming into the country. They can give you the customs item number and you can fast track the import duty payment so your not hanging for ages to get you new fabulous fur!

Oh I see! Thanks for detailing it for me. Definitely not something I would've considered otherwise. I think the minimum for Aus might be $1000, but I'll have to have a really good look into it. And so you bought that coat from a seller based in Canada? I'm looking for something similar, a full length fox of some kind.

Hi I got a PM about the global shipping program via EBay. I'll answer it here for everyone that isn't sure about it.

if your a buy fur in the U.S. and trying to get them shipped. BEWARE the global shipping program=Ebay themselves will withhold And dispose of them! - as they will not ship fur internationally period. I've been in heated arguments for hours on phone calls back and forth. their stand is that it a customs issue which is bullshit!

my advise is to contact the seller and ask for other shipping options. DHL are great, we've had no problem with them.

and to you FURS LIMITED. it was a private listing but ended being a furrier's wifes own coat!

and FURSEPHONE we've win furs from 'dilart-limited-shop' in germany on Ebay for some great prices. Furs have been better than stated, and shipping been well priced. we'll be buying from them again very soon for sure.

YES! love those pictures of your Fantastic white fox! MORE! love it!

Okay, you'll see more. Eventually...I'm kind of saving that coat for a trip to Alaska early next year and I don't want to wear it too much or risk getting it dirty before I leave. I might perhaps wear the coat one or two more times towards christmas. But don't expect me to wear it too often. This thing was custom made and cost me a small fortune so I'm not taking any chances with this coat.
