Charfur
Since I do not live really that close to a furrier and the professional fur cleaning is over 100 euro's per coat I am looking into a DIY option. Does anyone have experience with this? I guess the first step would be to use saw dust on the coat and then put in the dry tumbler, similar to the option below https://www.etsy.com/listing/260116793/lanas-deep-fur-cleaning-kit Putting the saw dust in the tumbler without the bag would become an issue I guess for the tumbler Then oil the coat using Eucalan oil https://www.fursource.com/fur-cleaner-and-brush-kit-p-2539.html Dust and oil are relatively easy to come by, the rest is just a one time purchase Anyone with other experiences? comments? Guest
This probably isn't what you want to hear, but I strongly discourage you from trying to clean a fur yourself. You can do serious damage if you don't know what you're doing. Honestly it's worth paying the cleaning costs and sending off if necessary. Sure it's expensive, but if you make a mistake cleaning the coat yourself then you're down one coat and that is even more costly.
