The fur season is upon us

I live in Edinburgh which has a colossal influx of tourists for the New Year Celebrations.  Alas, Hogmanay and today, the first of January have experienced atrocious weather with extreme winds and torrential rain!  Not exactly weather to be wearing fur in.

However, tomorrow is to be dry, bright and extremely cold so I’ll be out and about hoping to spot some furs.  I’ll be wearing my own fabulous mink coat and my Russian sable scarf so I’ll be wrapped up against the cold.

I’ve not seen a lot of fur this season but this is the one time of year when it might be on show. Here’s hoping!

So it was about -35 this morning with the windchill.. not even my full length raccoon coat and hat were enough to combat that...  pretty awful.. so my walk didn't last too long...

On the way home from work, I was a little taken to see an older gentleman walking down the sidewalk in what looked to be a knee length mink...  it was hard to tell as I was driving but it sure looked like a black mink... good on him is all I can say!! Yet another confidence booster for me seeing other ppl out there enjoying there furs to combat this weather...

The past few days have been on the cold side here in NYC. I am enjoying wearing my full length blackglama mink coat. Of course there are plenty of other fur coats to be seen on the town.

Finally the cold weather has blessed Texas!!! Highs of 35°f-40°f all this week and 6-10in of snow on Thursday’s with another 1-2in on Friday! Thankfully I will be able to get the furs out this week as well as in Vermont come mid February. Any recommendations of fur shops in Vermont?

Same here! I was out in the late morning wearing the full-length Blackglama mink. Personally, my fave when the weather is too cold but cold enough to wear a full-length. When the temps drop to the low 30s is when I’m looking forward to the Full-length Fox!

Me and  my wife were up in Edinburgh for NYE and she wore a huge golden fox fur collar. For such a cold city that we’ve visited a few times, there isn’t much fur.

It is just too bad I have to leave the city now that it is cold and fur coats are all over town.

I had a unique experience today. I was on my way to Starbucks when I noticed a young woman wearing the most gorgeous fox jacket.  I snuck a couple of photos of her and was surprised when she approached me and asked me to take a photo. Naturally, I assumed she wanted a photo of her and her family but No! - She wanted a photo of her and me!  So we put our arms around each other and she took a really good photo. I was so surprised that I never thought to ask if I could take a photo of us both!

Id love to have had  conversation with her but she quickly returned to the bosom of her family.

Oh a lynx is beautiful, we don't have the same ressources hahaha. If I buy a lynx, this one from second hand.

The mink is just perfect, the feeling is amazing, really warm and soft. The mitten made with five fingers and full of fur...

Honestly any signs, this is really comfortable...

I trifted the lynx to be honest.

No problem honestly, this is really nice for you to find a lynx fur but if you buy a new lynx, i don't have any problems...

A beautiful balmy -33 windchill today.... spent about 4 hours today wrapped in raccoon though! Started the morning with a cold walk... windchill was around -40 this morning, and I have to admit, even with a full length fur coat on and the the collar up and around my face it was still cold... got off work early so went back for another walk, no one out though, obviously too cold... went back to other park on the way home and went for about a 1/2 hour walk... no one really there either.. I was going to walk in the forest paths rather than the skating rink pond, but there were city workers cutting trees and stuff all over the park... I started heading home and was going to go into a few stores just because I was wearing fur and wanted to, but I really had no need to go in.. so went to a craft store, no one really in there, one gentleman and his wife.. when I walked in he kind of took a look, but just kept on his way.. walked by a few older women, they never looked or said anything..went into the drugstore on the way home, an older attractive woman in a black leather jacket and tall boots came in behind me... I held the door for her, was hoping she would have said something about my coat but she didn't.. we conveniently left at the same time and she held the door for me this time, I said thanks, but thats about as far as things went...  It helps when its minus crazy out there!! I always say.. the worst thing about wearing a fur coat is having to take it off...
