I read it as "telegraphic language."

 

i.e. "Moc" said, "Merry Christmas from Dragon!" which is shorthand for, "Here is a message from Dragon, wishing us Merry Christmas!"

 

But don't worry. I also saw the humor in Dragon's reply.
