Uk here.

To our American friends.....Normally Europe would cover the UK too ..Europe/UK in the poll not strictly necessary...unless of course this is an astute observation on the state of British politics and the reticence of many of my fellow Brits to embrace the European Union.

All I know is that mainland Europe is much furrier

MJ,

I have many UK friends that would insist that the UK is NOT part of Europe. I was trying to be politically correct.

Living on the worlds largest sand bar, Long Island, NY left by Glacers many years ago. Rock here is like 700 feet down! Specifily I live in Elmont, which is a couple of miles east of the Big Apple line, in Nassau County and not part of the Apple......Third place I have moved to in 8 months. As I moved from a private home, in East Meadow, to a 12 unit garden apartment. When this apartment became open in March, moved here as verman were in the 12 unit place (mice and cockaroach).

Thank god the silly season here in the USA ends next tuesday 11/7/06 with election day.....I actually have another name for it, that looks almost the same, and almost sounds the same, just replace the La with a Re sound, becauae "no mater how we vote, we still get F...ED" you fill in the rest......................

I'm pretty surprised by the results... I always figured there were more members in North America than in the UK/Europe. Of course with only about 100 +/- members out of 1000+ voting, the results could be subject to a substantial margin of error.

FLinFL,

I think our most active members who are in Europe out weigh the North American members.

It is especially clear in The Pub.
