White Fox
I was just wondering the age of all here. I know that it shows up in the big questionaire, but there it is rather fragmented. Just wondering if you would sign in on the little survey we have here. If you wish to do so feel free to reply also but that is not required. The info received here will help us to plan the Den. Guest
Intersting so far. this may confirm my suspicion about reactionism. Most people see a left wing, vegan Ar leaning liberal lifestyle as radical, and a conservative, fur loving champagne drinking, liberal in the British sense, as reactionary. I never saw it like this. When I was in my late teens in 1977 there was a social revolution in the UK and that recolt was ANTI socialist, the power of the day. It was about hedoinsm, and liberalism (laissez faire) to the extent of anarchy(not as a politik but as a state of being. This was a radical movement. Ut led on to New romantics, modes etc. Amny traditions were rescued from obivion including rcokabilly, fishnets and stilletoes, and it was a reaction against the sloppy, hippy values of the late 60s early 70s. It was about the indicidual, and may well have maufested itself in Thathcherism; the ultimate expression of individualism. Then there was reaction to that eventually, and the next generation became caring, scoialist, and full of hippies again; reinvented as grunge. And now it swings again. Fur revival, dressing up individually (Emo) and lots of glamour and colour. Again the individual is the centre and that is expressed in dress. So look at the results if you don't beleive me. There is a bond between 40 somethings and 20 somethings. And it is my beleif we are the radicals and the 30 somethings the reactionaries. except if course, the 30 somethings that are here. I can't comment on the older generations again becuase I can't speak for them.
