Reaction to Furs in Public?

If you have or your spouse/partner worn your furs out in public, what were people’s reaction to it?  How did you feel react?  
 

I’ll start I guess, LOL.  My wife wore a full length fox to a few Christmas staff parties a long time ago.  It gave me a bit of an anxious but excited feeling.  My wife said it gave her a rush!  She could tell people were looking.  I couldn’t take my eyes off her!  A few times other ladies would compliment her in a beautiful coat.  They would touch the furry sleeves at times while talking to her about it.  Those moments are few and far between now as she is an introvert.  I’m the fur fan and she wore them for me.  Other times at a restaurant a hostess would compliment her on her fur.  Other people would look or stare.  Never heard a bad word though.  Another time shopping at Sears.  Other times on a fur walk.  People definitely notice.

Agree-generally if people have an issue with it, they tend to just keep to themselves.  99% of people seem indifferent or positive though in any interaction. People look because it’s irregular, but most don’t seem to think deeply about it

My partner has worn her full length black fox saga superb coat out in public numerous times. She has also worn her shorter lavender dyed silver fox jacket as well as her lynx when we had in our in public. The general reaction is a lot of looks and smiles. At worse people look right past her and at best they stop to ask to feel it or brush/pet the sleeves and ask us more information about it.

For myself, I’ve worn my full length golden sable out in public numerous times to accompany my beautiful partner in her furs. Guys in particular seem to be absolutely fascinated by it and have asked to try it on (I unfortunately had to say no), brush/pet it, as well as compliment myself about how I styled it or how it adds a touch of personality to the outfit that isn’t usually seen in fast fashion currently.

I look forward to wearing my Canadian coyote jacket this winter as I believe I’ll be able to style it a lot more casually.

There are already some threads about this so sorry if I repeat myself 😉. My wife wears her furs (mostly full length foxes but sometimes also her full length lynx) sometimes to friends and family or to a restaurant, but also when she picks me up from the airport. She never had any negative comments, but she does feel that it doesn't go unnoticed, she especially gets looks from other men, even if they are with their wife or girlfriend, which she says she finds awkward, but who can blame them?
