Scored a Silver Fox Jacket

Scored a silver fox jacket off facebook marketplace today... when getting coats off there, I always just make up some getting it for my mom story as sometimes you don't know where or what you're getting into.. Only cost $200...  Now funny thing is, its the Mother's coat, I guess maybe gave it to her and she doesnt want it.. its a size 12/14 and its massive.. fits perfect...

So I go pick it up, she says oh you're here for the fur coat..
me - yes
her - she's actually going to wear it.. no one wears fur coats... I never see anyone wearing or wanting one..
me - playing dumb (the reason why I say getting for someone else to avoid these conflicts) Well they are super warm when its -40 and youre outside walking
her - she's really going to wear it
me - handing over the $200 and thinking you really don't know what you just lost...

looks like absolute new, and Id say still over $1500 in value..
 

On the way home I get a text message from her saying she's sorry she was rude and hope's she enjoys it..

I just sent a polite oh no worries response back and a Im sure it will be very warm on those cold days...

I too love finding stuff of FB Marketplace or Kijiji. I once scored a massive full length finn raccoon coat with this huge collar for like $450. The grand daughter was selling it on behalf of the grandmother. 

On another note, don't you just love it when the seller appreciates furs and so when you go to meet them, you don't have to play 'the game'? LOL

Yep... the sleeves are perfect length as well.. usually I find the sleeves are just like an inch to short, but when wearing gloves you never notice..this one is absolutely perfect... and in all reality, even though the clasps do up as a women's coat (Not that anyone these days really seems to care about that anymore), but the fur is so thick and dense you can't even tell.... Anyone could wear that coat!! Now just waiting for the temps to drop off to get outside with it.. still super warm up here in Winnipeg.. almost double the normal daytime highs and lows.. this weekend is still calling 27/28C for the daytime highs.. mid next week though its half that, and the lows are calling +1

It is always nice when you find those few sellers that still appreciate fur... I think the ones that do almost know "you arent buying that for your mom" lol
Ive had a few occasions where they say you should try it on, or in winter, you arent going to wear it home? At that point coat is definately going on!
