CoyoteFox Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 I have my suspicions, but I'm curious what the community thinks... WHAT FUR TYPE IS THIS? 1
LeComte Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 I'd also bet fitch. How is the hair? Silky, fine, medium, coarse, very coarse?

furnz Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 I'm going with @furlovertx, we have a few Fitch's and I have raccoon too. I'm thinking bleached raccoon. Pelts look too long and wide for a fitch -including cheap ones which are stretched way too much. 1

There's no way it's fitch. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1338913758/brand-new-bleached-raccoon-fox-fur
LeComte Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 I admit it, it's not fitch. I haven't considered the size of the pelts (now I feel like a noob). The guard hairs are also quite long. Bleached raccon is a better guess.
