Prowl
To be clear, this is in the realm of my personal taste of sexual preference and attractiveness. If you are a man who wears fur, all power to you, this is not a critique of anyone's real-life fashion sense. Anyways, does anyone else feel men wearing fur in pornography or fetish content is very much a turn off? For me, I love when a woman wears fur, and see it as a symbol of dominance, glamour, and sex appeal. I however do not like when the man counterpart is wearing fur, bound in fur, or even really touching the fur- i'm not a fan of the "fur-job" or cumming in fur. To me the fur is an extension of the woman's beauty and cruelty and I do not like seeing that power "undermined" in this way by the man interacting with the fur. In my fetish preference, the man is "not worthy". I saw a graph one time of "levels of fetish". In one situation, you can't be turned on by a woman without the fetish object, in a more extreme fetish you can be turned on by the fetish object without a woman. For me, the fur and woman must be together, I'm attracted to woman without fur and the fur just adds to it. This is a very specific point of view of what I prefer, and I wonder if anyone else feels similarly or differently. I'm interested in peoples thoughts.

Jerome
I kind of share this opinion. Furs for men don't turn me on. I love women in their furs but, as a man, I also like to wrap myself in female style furs.

Nothing turns me on more than my wife in furs, but I’ve never really had the desire to wear them myself, and the idea of men in furs does nothing for me. Just means I can spend more on my wife! FurSwede
I’m sure you will find people all over the spectrum of loving fur here. The important thing is to show each other respect as you say in the beginning.
syfr
Myself, I'm in the middle of the spectrum. I love how you put it - "fur is an extension of the woman's beauty and cruelty". I would much rather see only a woman (or women) in furs. I want to behold her beauty and power and not be distracted by anything else. Seeing another man in the scene is a turn-off for me. In some situations, I will tolerate seeing another guy. Depends on the 'look' of the man. Perhaps the man is well dressed and on the same level of power as the woman. Or, the man's face cannot be seen and is completely submissive to the woman - just a faceless prop or toy to her. The double standard I have is that I like to wear furs myself and would love to dominate in furs with a fur-clad dominant woman haha 😅
Jerome
I am reading all this while wrapped in a beautiful phantom beaver coat. I love it, but I agree, nothing is more beautiful than a woman in a nice fur coat.
saynotofaux
It all depends, some furs are feminine and suit the feminine form, silver fox, lynx, sable etc, and some furs like beaver & coyote are more masculine. The cut of the coat too. A bloke wearing what is obviously a ladies coat does nothing for me. But in general, men wearing fur, no. Unless it’s a gent’s style. Black mink, my favourite fur, can look good on either sex, but that’s kind of an exception to the rule.

joel.leon
I find threads like this fascinating, as well as threads where guys talk about fur making them heteroflexible, where fur is the deciding factor for if they are turned on by others. Just to see the spectrum of perspectives out there. For me, it is ok or sometimes even preferable for content to include a dick if it is surrounded by furs... as long as it is point of view or the rest of the guy is not in frame. That lets me project as if the scene is happening to me, but as soon as the content breaks that fantasy and you can't hide it's another dude there, I am lost on it. I like fur on me, I like fur fashion for men, but am just not interested in engaging with the sexuality of other guys, even with fur, and even in imagination. I like this forum and participating in these threads because we're all learning about this space that most of us can't engage with in the rest of our lives, except for those of us lucky to have willing partners. Certainly I am accepting of any non-predatory sexuality in others but that's my line for participation in it. On 12/2/2024 at 12:18 PM, Prowl said: I saw a graph one time of "levels of fetish". pnwhist
“love when a woman wears fur, and see it as a symbol of dominance, glamour, and sex appeal” “To me the fur is an extension of the woman's beauty” For one, I am totally in agreement with you. What noone on this thread has mentioned is just how LONG it takes for a given event for a lady to get herself to feel “worthy” in her visual appeal to finally add the layer of luxury and adorn her fur piece. What makes the lady feel good to FEEL glamorous and to have sex appeal for a special event? It’s the layers of preparation and that’s even BEFORE the day she wears her outfit. It starts with making her hair appointment, even if you know just a little bit about these appointments, hair and color alone can run a good $250 USD on the low end. Not even mentioning, waxing, eyelash extension, highlights, and other options. Add to that, if she’s wanting to feel extra special there’s also the manicure and pedicure appointment. This is WEEKS if not MONTHS in advance appointment making, because once a lady likes a specific stylist, they will mountains to get into their availability. Then there’s the outfit. Women will go into great lengths to make sure the outfit looks good on THEIR body shape. No buying online like most men can do. Ladies will make an event out of the shopping experience. Have we started on the day of their outing yet?(Im just exhausted just typing this out.) Day of the event: Outfit, Shower, Hair, Makeup. Just this itself can be EASILY two hours of preparation. Haven’t even mentioned about jewelry or coordination of the outfit at all. And yes, and THEN after all this, us significant others get the one privilege to place a luxurious layer called a fur coat onto their lovely shoulders. So, no, why I don’t feel men in general are worthy and don’t have the same visual appeal as women do is strictly because of the preparation I have seen first hand when women want to look and feel luxurious. I don’t know any man who goes through that level of work, time, decision-making and preparation to make themselves stunning. If you yourself do, I applaud you because that’s a lot of time invested and a lot patience. I don’t have it and I’d rather spend my money making the spouse feel and look good. All this to say is with the assumption that the fur coat is seen as a luxury accessory and I’m sure that many simply do not see it that way especially if it’s been normalized in their lives. I’d like to hear a counter to this thought. This is of my opinion based on observation and personal experience so I know I’m somewhat limited in my assessment. 🙂 Also to consider (but I haven’t personally experienced this) Most times back when a lady bought a fur coat brand new, the coat was specifically tailored to her measurements. If you’ve ever had ANYTHING made custom to your requirements and specifications, it feels better, looks better, and for the lady in fur, it accentuates what layers she has within her. furs limited
A woman that tosses on a beautiful fur over a pair of jeans and a nice top is all I need. As a man, I don't think I have ever taken 2 hours to get ready to go out, and I wear fur almost daily when the weather suggests it. Less primping and formality could be conducive to more people wearing and enjoying furs.

I’d rather have fur to be normalized and not have to go through all this extravangance. Fur or no fur, most American women will go through their routine of putting on make up when they are out and about. Depending on the occasion that exercise can be a minimum of 10 minutes when they’re not in a rush.

In my fetish preference, the man is "not worthy". Fur is first and foremost a sensual experience for many men and women I have talked to during the past years in various fur-fetish forums and chats. Touching the fur, feeling the warmth, experiencing the softness are leading motives you will find again and again. Many feel safe, snug and secure, when they wear a fur. These sensual sensations and the desire to have them have little to do with sexual preferences for females or males. You mention none of these sensual experiences, so I guess they mean little to you. I would speculate that the motive of furs representing wealth and therefor power is far more interesting to you. You also mention „cruelty“ of women and how men are „not worthy“. Those are terms I usually hear from men who enjoy degradation and humiliation by women. This desire is not as uncommon as you may think. And once you meet women who are into this, I guess you’d find it easy to convince them that wearing a fur is an extension to their power. My guess is that this path is way easier compared to finding people who see furs only as a symbol for power among fur-fetishists. As to my personal preference? Not being allowed to feel how my love wraps her arms around me as she wears a fur is a thought that makes me so sad that it drives tears to my eyes. And the pride in her eyes as she wraps and locks a fox-fur lined collar aound my neck is something I’d never want to miss. Fur was never an exclusive sign of power to me. It will always be something I want to drink in with all senses. On a last thought I’d like to compliment you on your approach: understanding and respecting that you will find many different tastes under the umbrella-term "fur-fetish" is the best wayto avoid misunderstandings and disappointed expectations. Big thumbs up for that from my side. Edited December 29, 2024 by Kidnapped
blakeymikey
This topic is an interesting one. We all have one thing in common within this forum. And that is the passion that is fur. But we all have different feelings when it comes too our passion. There is no right or wrong in how we may feel. For me I was married but now divorced from a women but we still live together. She does know of my love for fur and that I love to wear fur and altho she knows about my fetish for fur she doesn't know that extremes of it too me. But for maybe a majority of us our passion is like that fur needs us and we feel that passion. The passion that involves fur weather it be of the wearing kind or of the sexual kind. And once again for me being in need of fur as a sexual passion is extremely of high importance in one's life. I have been talking too a male now for around 8 to 9 years and are both in a sexual relationship online. The one thing is he is married so it's very difficult to really take it too that further stage. But what ever happens with anyone who loves fur enjoy it and never hate it.
