MAINLYMINK
Is it possible to take still pictures from those GIFs we all see on Pinit? I used to be able to right-click on one and say "open image in another window" but cannot do it any more. How can it be done, please? Thanks! Worker 11811
Animated GIFs are the computerized equivalent of flip books which have a bunch of pictures that you flip the corners of the pages to see the picture move. They are just a bunch of images, shown one at a time, 24 pictures per second. You should be able to open an animated GIF in Photoshop or some other image editor to see all the images, one per layer. From there, you should be able to select which picture you like best and export it as a single image file. Photoshop can do this if you import each frame to a layer. The free program "GIMP" can do it, too. If you use a Mac, the "Preview" app can open animated GIFs and let you select one of the frames for export. The Quicktime Player app can do it, too.
