Let’s talk fur and Christmas

Hope everyone here is having a happy holiday season! Obviously, Christmas has now passed. (though I keep celebrating until February, LOL!) For many of us, this time of year is probably dear to our hearts. Christmas likely conjures up images of coziness, cheer, and of course, lots and lots of fur. Whether it was an aunt or grandmother with a mink coat, a walk past the local furrier on a winter’s day, or seeing a fluffy fox hat atop someone’s head as they walk down the street shopping for gifts, fur is an essential part of the holiday season. I know seeing the local ladies at Christmas Day mass wearing massive coats made of the luxurious pelts of countless minks, foxes, chinchillas, and more was partly a catalyst for what became my fur fetish, and I always love seeing the uptick in fur wearing and fur gifting this time of year.

So, with that overly histrionic laden intro aside, please sound off in the replies with all the fur sightings or stories you have not only from this Christmas, but from any and every holiday season!

Well, it’s been cold wet and foggy over Christmas here in Manchester, uk.
only saw one fur coat over Christmas, as I was driving up to my sisters for Christmas dinner. A fantastic looking full length black mink coat! It was going dark, and I was in traffic, can only hope it was real! Caught a chest infection over  Christmas & I’m on antibiotics, so staying in, nice & warm. I’m typing this in bed under my silver fox bedspread.
highly recommended.

Cold, damp and foggy in Wiltshire too. I noticed plenty of nice faux furs around the towns this year and I did notice a two ladies in Salisbury wearing fox jackets before Christmas. Not much else though...apart from me proudly wearing my mens fox jacket while driving.

Unfortunately up here in Winnipeg its been way above normal temps...we were 15C above normal yesterday and it was actually raining at one point.. the morning was -3C so I got out for a walk in raccoon, but it was a sloppy mess... I went to the park after work , but it was still drizzly and I wasnt going to go walk in that... massive temperature drop coming mid next week, so hopefully see some furs out..

I always remember my mom getting the raccoon coat I now wear all the time for Christmas when I was maybe 10 or 11 years old.. already loved fur back before that... that full length raccoon tipped the scales though... it just went from there...

Have not seen any real furs in along time accept on me & the Mrs. (Bummer!)
I had a few wonderful holiday fur experiences ,but my very first was seeing Ms. Eartha Kitt sing Santa Baby. She holds a special place in my heart as it was the first time a woman's voice tickled my fancy. I could feel my face blush as I was rather shocked to see her wrapped only in a soft fluffy fur. Her  beautiful skin tone contrasting with the white fur as she purrs the lyrics bestowed upon me a most pleasant sensation. I still smile every time I hear Santa Baby!!!

After all the flooding we had on New Year’s Day, at last it’s turning cold. Was out & about shopping today in my gorgeous mink lined leather coat. I absolutely love it. It’s so warm, you don’t need a jumper under it, just a polo shirt. Just adore that rich, warm and inviting mink lining and the soft leather.

Surely we wait the cold for wear our fur during a morning or a afternoon, chilling on the street... Yeah mink is very warm and soft when we have a beautiful piece. I prefer wear the mink inside, I think it's important to have a good leather quality like lambskin or calfskin... personally I love a high leather quality...

I prefer wear a coat with the mink inside, the feeling of mink who stroke your skin when you walk and keep me warm surely...

Totally agree with you, those foxes are very beautiful and understood that they had the best place in this music video... The compagny of these little foxes is enjoyed without moderation !!!
