Show us your Brand labels - old and new

Wanted to start a thread for members showing classic brand labels / labels they admire from their pieces or ones that came across on Social media/Internet that connect with a personal story. They could also be local labels that have a rich history or purveys a personal experience of yours.

Although not mine, came across the “Robinson’s” label on this fox full-length that INSTANTLY transported me to the 80’s where women who knew they wanted a fur and there wasn’t a furrier they knew of or available. My mind instantly envisions a massive showroom of fur pieces and beautiful ladies spending hours adorning coat after unblemished coat - admiring themselves in front of full-length mirrors. (and of course, some husbands getting turned on by the experience.)

Although a retail label and not a fashion one, it still invoked that sentiment of “oh, the good ol’ days.” Looking forward to seeing how others share their stories through these labels.

The Saga brand brings me instantly back to my youth - my introduction to fox fur and no doubt, my favorite type of fur. My friend who lived in the neighborhood had two sisters and one afternoon one of them asked their mom about her fur coat. I can’t remember exactly what was said other than I think it was out of her wardrobe rotation and stored in the spare room now. Guess who always wanted to stay in the spare room during sleepovers? 🙂

I remember opening the spare room closet that revealed the Blue Fox jacket and unclasped, it revealed that’s silvery Saga label on the back side of the lining.

Saga Furs - “Not all furs are equal.”

Saga is not a brand per se. It is a fur auction house. And it is not what it used to be as the Danish left and formed Kopenhagen Fur some years ago.

It is NOT a fashion brand but ANY business can be a brand. But it definitely IS a label…hence, its label on its source fabric 🙂
