dbawss1
I’m looking to add a removable mink fur lining for a leather jacket I have and was wondering if anyone here has done this. I’ve contacted a few furriers in my area and am waiting to hear back from them. Curious to know how much this would cost if I were to use full mink pelts so if you’ve had something similar done please let me know how it went and how much it costed you. Cheers!
saynotofaux
Might be cheaper to buy a reversible mink & leather jacket. I have a couple, that I adore. By the time you have sourced the skins, & furriers time it could work out expensive. I’ve had mink coats made into bedspreads & pillows & that wasn’t cheap. Time is money & furriers have bills too. 2
kev86
Yeah that's true, personally I have a trench with the mink inside and I love the feeling. This is really great to wear it during cold day and people don't imagine the inside full pelts... Honestly I prefer use only full pelts, quality and softness, i prefer the feeling with my mink haha... Honestly I'm surely a furrier had the possibility of making it for you... I hope you have a positive new... Edited January 5 by kev86
dbawss1
I finally went to the furrier and was quoted 1600 USD (about 900 less than if I was to buy a reversible jacket) for a removable lining and collar made of new full skin mink, should be done in 2-3 weeks. I'll take pictures once I get my lambskin jacket back. Edited January 30 by dbawss1 3

But scared of what people would think if they saw fur inside my jacket

I find the price correct honestly, really cute to see many fresh mink pelts used for your project... Surely you have a new jacket with a new style and a soft mink inside, enjoy your walk and enjoy the softness of the mink... A project so adorable...

Personally I have a my trench with the inside mink full pelts from (RAD Paris). I wear during winter, cold evenings, cold weather and more, people don't imagine really i have a inside full of mink, this is more comfortable and around the street you are incognito... Sincerely try it !
