FurRugLover Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) Fur rugs - from alpaca and sheepskin rugs to wild animal pelts complete with taxidermy heads - are sometimes used on the floors of high end stores where they allow visitors to just step on them with shoes on. So I'm wondering if these fur rugs are eventually sold, donated, upcycled, or thrown-out to dumpster? Although I have a few fur rugs that were one used on the floors of stores (including a deerskin rug and a quad sheepskin) mine were probably exceptions rather than norm, though I hope I'm wrong on this one. On the flip side, a follower on IG from Germany showed me (in a DM) a new looking quad (4-pelt) sheepskin rug that he found in the dumpster after it was used on the floor of a store during a special event for only 2 days. If you have any fur rugs previously used on a store's floor, show them. Edited January 12 by FurRugLover
FurRugLover Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 No one knows the answer?!?! Is this a mystery of the unexplained?
Furrrrrrrrrr Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I think you’ve posted this same topic multiple times and there’s not much interest in it unfortunately. I myself don’t like the thought of any fur getting “dirty”…. But to each their own. Sorry. 1
