Chrisfurlover
Howdy everyone! Finally getting a break from work and heading north for a couple weeks on a vacation before all the cold weather disappears. I wanted to do some fur shopping while I’m in Vermont and when I take a day trip to Montreal. I would really appreciate any recommendations for shops, boutiques, or even furriers. I’ll be staying north of Burlington, VT, to give a general idea of the area. Thank you to everyone in advance.
furs limited
There will not be a lot of choices in Vermont. But Montreal? The opportunities abound. There are still many fur salons and departments in the city. The Mayor Street area only has a few left; the "new" fur district is up in the Park Avenue area. I have visited Olivier/Oliver Furs up there and was very happy with my experience. Why only one day up there? Buy now - beat the tariffs? Also, having things sent back to the states avoids some taxes.

Also… the tariffs? The trip is literally next week, I don’t think I’m beating anything. Thank you for the recommendations though
furs limited
Buy now - as in when you get to Canada. As for new tariffs - watch the news.

CoyoteFox
@Chrisfurlover Oliverfurs... 100% Many good resellers on FB Marketplace and Kijiji.ca... This guy has a few ads up and likely came into a fur storage lot recently:
Chrisfurlover
I’ve bought a jacket in the past from oliverfurs on eBay. I might just swing by there while I’m in town! Thank you!
syfr
You could check out Cuir Dimitri in Montreal. It's not a full-fledged furrier, but they have a lot of shearling, fur trimmed leather, and fur parkas. I think they have some sales going on right now. It could be a great place to find a piece for 'every day wear', if you sometimes don't want to wear a full fur coat all the time. Do you have any other spots you recommend? Their products look decent and their prices seem pretty good.
