This morning compliment

A balmy -26 this morning in Winnipeg..but a big warm up coming so I took advantage of the cold for a quick walk this morning in raccoon... While I was walking around the loop, I crossed paths with an older lady going for a walk.. we just said good morning to each other and carried on... I crossed paths with her again at the other end of the loop and she said I just have to tell you how amazing your fur coat is.. we chatted for a minute and she just kept saying how good it looked and how warm I must be.. I commented back to her I don't know why more people aren't wearing fur coats... She agreed with me and just said who cares what anyone thinks you look great! So that was a nice start to the day!!

I love how open-minded she was! It must have felt amazing to receive that kind of positive attention and interest! You could have joked, "I have a bunch at home - I can bring one for you to try next time!"

Nice! I always get compliments from the cabin crew when I board the plane in my fur parka.

 She seemed friendly when we passed each other the first time.. I was hoping to cross path with her again.. she was older than me, and would have grown up in that "fur era" so I assumed she probably wouldnt say anything negative... but definately awesome to just have someone stop and say ho much they love your coat and tell you to keep wearing it... Definately a good start to the day... Im hoping for some more cooler mornings as well... I typically walk the same loop in the morning, so hopefully can cross paths with her again wearing a different coat just to spark the conversation again!

My favorite compliments are the ones that come with a touch of envy or desire to own a fur of their own. I must say I would trade every compliment if more people embraced fur. A little luxury goes along way, my heart would be warmed if we inspired  just one person to experience the pleasure of a fur on a cold winters day.
