FoxFurStory_35 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 (edited) Greetings fellow fur enthusiasts. Are your feelings for fur about the fashion? The look, the style, the elegance, the warmth? Or is it about a fetish that instills feelings of pleasure and furs are the sexiest garments one can wear. If the latter, how much do furs come into your thoughts? Or is it both? For me, since I was a child, it has been fetish. Seeing the rare woman in a fur or a fur coat commercial would captivate me. Though it does make me really like the look of a long hair power fox fur coat. For me it is the latter and it’s not even close. It’s strange but a short haired mink, though cool, doesn’t do much for me. But a fox fur coat and matching hat where the collar is turned up framing the lady’s cheeks and the guard hairs of a huge matching fox fur hat hides her eyes. Incredible. Fredfurrer Posted March 19 Posted March 19 For me it's firstly about the fetish and then the look. while i like a short-haired mink for the fetish affects it has on me, the full-length fox ticks all the boxes for me. 4
FullLengthFox Posted March 21 Posted March 21 For me it's the same, big fluffy furs! But I think it has to do more with which fur type you prefer than fashion, although fashion furs are usually less extravagant. 4
Panther10 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I’m more about fur in terms of dependability, warmth and its fashion appeal. Being from a cold weather state I need to rely on my coat for my survival and I can’t take any chances. 1
WinnipegFur Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Id say for me its the warmth, the feel, and a fetish... I was lucky enough to get outside in my raccoon coat and hat this morning since it was in the -20s with the windchill.. I don't really think about the fetish side of it when Im driving or walking... at that point its more of the its nice wearing something so warm when its this cold out, and the feel of a huge collar against my face feels nice.. its when its time to take the coat off when the fetish side usually kicks in for me... Often I find when I get home I leave fur coats on for a good hour or more and just enjoy them... I often say to myself the worst part about wearing a fur coat is having to take it off... Im more attracted to the long hair furs myself... raccoon, coyote, fox, lynx.. I do have a few minks, but I wear them more around the house to be honest.. I don't find mink to be an overly warm coat in my opinion.. raccoon and coyote to me are warm... my full length silver fox coat has a pile of weight to it.. definately the its -25 outside coat... I don't think I could walk around in my full silver fox coat and fox hat at -5 without sweating to death in it... I think at -2C area mink is comfortable, but Ive gone out for walks in FL mink at -25 and just wanted to get back to the car where it was warm... Lynx is warm too, but I find because the gaurd hairs are so long, any kind of presperation on them causes them to get a cringey and curled look when it dries... -24C tonite though.. so I think I might take the silver fox coat and hat for an outing at the park tomorrow morning... season is slowly ending up here, but weve got some significant snow and coldish temps until Monday, so it still gives me a good excuse to be wearing a fur coat.. :) 3
Jerome Posted March 21 Posted March 21 To me the fetish appeal equals the fashion appeal. I like to see a woman in a nice furcoat and I like to wrap myself in it. I am a mink, sheared beaver, chinchilla, sable lover. Long hair furs don't do anything to me and I know I am an exception as most furlovers do prefer them to short hair furs. 2
blakeymikey Posted March 23 Posted March 23 For me the fetish side would have too come first. As especially the pleasure you get from fur is something else. But also love wearing fur 2
fox4me Posted March 28 Posted March 28 To me, fur is a fetish most of all. Just say the word and my pulse quickens and well....you know. I most enjoy the best of both worlds. I own several full length mink coats with enormous fox fur collars. They still take my breath away after all these years. I wear them proudly and feel incredible every second I'm wrapped up in one. I also love the positive comments i get. Gotta go. I need to put one on! 🙂 3 1
furlondon Posted April 10 Posted April 10 to me, fur is love, I love furs I can have. I love wearing furs but the winters in recent years are quite warm and no reason to buy big, fluffy furs like full length foxes... so keeping some furs around my bed and turning back into a big fur fetishist. I was thinking to raise chinchillas for my own business. 2
ChicagoFurFan Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I have a fetish for the “philosophy of fur” if that makes sense. It’s taboo, luxurious, vulgar, cruel, and “oh so bad.” It’s a symbol of power and class and attitude, a sign that “you’ve made it” and you’re not afraid to show that fact off. You don’t care if someone is offended that you’re wearing a bunch of minks, you look good and you know it. What I especially love about this fetish aspect though, is that fur is genuinely amazing fashion. Only PETA folks would disagree, and even anti-real fur folks wear realistic looking faux furs for a reason. It’s the first high fashion humankind created and in many ways it still stands alone. It’s amazing because something we instinctively recognize as beautiful and warm is also the pinnacle of fashion. 4
