FurSwede Posted March 24 Posted March 24 It is now officially spring here in Sweden (for the most part) so the bigger furs are getting ready to be put in storage. But I will wear my minks, shearlings and fur trimmed jackets a few more weeks. I am happy to say that women around here are still wearing fur out. 2
Panther10 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 (edited) One of the great things about living in a city like Chicago is that we don’t see temperatures constantly in the 60’s, 70’s and above until very late spring. Usually by late may things start to improve. Until then we could have weather in the 30’s and 40’s on any given day and people around here just have to roll with it. So you always might run into a stray fur sighting or two well into late spring. of course this consistently also leaves our part of the country notoriously vulnerable to severe thunderstorms, hail and deadly tornadoes but heyyyy…….😅😰 Edited March 24 by Panther10 3
FurSwede Posted March 24 Author Posted March 24 Thanks for showing that you didn’t understand the point of my post. And btw, I’ve lived in Chicago and spring was just ”warm” as here.
Panther10 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Wow no need for such an attitude. Sorry that my frame of reference doesn’t 100% match your own and I can only observe things from a completely different perspective. 2
FurSwede Posted March 24 Author Posted March 24 Sorry, but after reading many of your posts here I have no respect for you.
Panther10 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Not cool dude. This is a public community with rules to follow and it is not okay to personally attack members here out of left field. This will be the last time I ask you to knock it off. 1
Ballula Posted March 24 Posted March 24 This is a trivial matter. Stop fighting over this non-issue. 3
Ballula Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Moderators, please lock this thread before it blows up into something ugly.

How else do you think we were merged with La Fourrure Club last year? Our current admin is less hands and overt than our previous owners but will still lay down judgement if members or threads are reported for rule breaks or strikes. I remember a few months back we had several new “ members” join that ended up being a bunch of AI chat bots that were spamming redundant ads and what looked like testimonials to check out a website. The messages and the bots were collectively gone in a matter of hours.
Showgirl2017 Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I’m so sad that it’s starting to warm up in NYC. I’m going to keep some of my stoles at home, but start bringing my coats and jackets to storage. Already counting the days until the cooler weather… lol 1
Panther10 Posted April 1 Posted April 1 We had a couple days in the 70’s over the weekend but the temps dropped back into the high 20’s with the windchill. It felt like January all over again. It’s not much better this morning. It’s currently 35° with a high of 41°. I tell ya we might get little pockets of warm weather during the spring but for the most part it is still predominantly blanketed by cooler temperatures up until late May/Early June 1
Showgirl2017 Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Lucky you!! Enjoy it!! I’m not a fan of summer ,separate from the fact that you can’t wear fur. I just prefer the cool fall and winter days.

I just prefer the cool fall and winter days. Same. I suffer with seasonal depression and it tends to hit me the hardest in the summer when the weather is the warmest. I don’t like muggy, humid weather that consistently makes me sweat and to deal with that day after day tends to put me in a dour mood. It’s also when my allergies are at their peak and I can’t find any relief thanks to flowers that are constantly pollinating or dusts and microbes that are in the air…summers are the worst. I prefer winters by far—/
