Anyone else finding the cold temps just arent going away.. we had wet snow this morning (temperature was hanging around 0C) the rest of the week is looking OK, highs back to the high single digits, low teens in Celcius.. but Friday night they are calling for an overnite low of -8C... thats back to my fur coat zone! Saturday AM is tempting to go for a walk.. it would be the latest Ive actually gone for a morning "fur walk".... usually by now we're seeing way warmer temps, although the snow is gone, the wind is still cold, and the snow melt is still cool on the ground so it makes it feel colder than it is...

Man if only we were expecting snow or freezing temps that would be somewhat of a blessing. We’ve mostly had a lot of rain and a lot of muggy conditions too. We seem to be having a warmer spell at the moment where temps are consistently above average and should remain so for at least the next couple of weeks. Nothing too crazy. Just 50’s and 60’s. But still these temps had to come mere days after I received a flyer in the mail from my furrier that it’s time to put the furs away into storage and I’ve just been waiting for one last cold spell to break them out again, one last time. No such luck yet though. It’ll be May 1st if these temps hold for steady for these next few weeks and then pollen might be the next big issue by that point. Can’t take a fur out in those conditions.

in a slightly unrelated and more uncomfortable note, I heard a weather forecast for Chicago that said it’s supposed to be hot, humid and rainy this summer. So we’re basically a rainforest all summer. Which means I’m going to get sick for sure….as if 2025 wasn’t in the net negatives already….

Its just an up and down wave here for temperatures... currently its -2, today high is +8, tomorrow warmer, then it goes the opposite direction, still calling -8 for Friday night, then warms again for Easter.. After that looks consistent at/above normal temps... problem around here is as soon as it gets warm, we also get these associated 30G50 or 40G60 kmh winds... those are nice when its cold out... really makes the fur rip around in the wind :)
