White Fox
Keep em coming folks! Indeed the "Other Internet Web Sites and the Den areas are still empty with no nominees. We have a long, long way to go before this site really takes shape the way that it should. Remember though that it is indeed a hall of fame. We want people who truly belong there. This is really a special area for our site. Let's see it grow into something that other sites really admire! White Fox
Guest
I know this may not be directlty connected with fur but how about our friends over at http://www.petakillsanimals.com That guy and his organzation has been fighting the nutjobs all the way. This popped into my head today while reading the trial blog he has up. In a way, he is fighting to stop the ones who want to take our rights to wear fur away. White Fox
Great idea Eric! That brings up a question. Should AntiPeta site owners have an area of their own? Remember this is for people and NOT sites. However, their owners can well be here and I am thinking that maybe they should have their own area. What do you think folks? Ravens8
It's a good idea. But could go off target in that many people have a thing against PETA for a variety of very good reasons, not necessarily because they like fur. Since the fur den is a fur site, perhaps the leanings of people who are nominated should be established first. We may have a nominees in the Hall simply because they dont like pets being killed, or research labs being blown up etc. I'm not saying this would be a bad thing, but does it relate to fur? Guest
At a basic level The Den needs to know what direction it wants to travel in. If we are to support anti PeTA organisations, as a group we need to be more vocal, more militant, and more aware. We need to stop giggling about them behind closed doors and do something. We need to be active in gathering information, being a central resource, coordinating with other groups in lobbying political groups, newspapers, celebrities etc. We need to be as out there as PeTA campaigners. If we are not prepared to do that, then anti PeTA representatives have no purpose to us here and have no reason to come. Asking them in will significantly change the direction of The Den, do you want that, are you ready to move with the times and adapt or die, or continue using this place as a source of ideas for jerking off into your scrap of mink? Sometimes hard choices have to be made. Are you ready to stand up and be counted, or wither away into the shadows.

White Fox
Interesting thoughts all. Even Tryxie, I think your thoughts mean we need be more active PETA in other directions if I interpret you right. (Not just an anti Peta Hall of Fame). And, that is exactly what our Library is designed for. Keep thinking folks. Tryxie, any ideas you have on doing this keep us informed. I will do all that I can to help here. And we have a huge Library to cordinate this from. W
lynxette
Tryxie, I couldn't agree more. As I have stated before, I attempt personally to combat ignorance regarding furs every chance I get, but sometimes it seems like just a drop in the bucket compared to what needs to be done. I actually had a nightmare once that PETA had succeeded in getting furs outlawed before I had a chance to get any. Hey, I said it was a nightmare...more like a night terror. Thankfully the tide has turned somewhat in the last few years, but concerted efforts are still needed all around. The other thing that is not in favour of furs is the current trend in totally casual appearal and dress standards. I cannot tell everyone how often I am asked "where do you wear your furs?", often whilst I am standing before the questioner wearing one. Go figure that one out eh
MrC1946
I agree entirely with Tryxie's assessment of the choice before us. My choice for any number of reasons, not merely my love of fur, would be to take a pro-active stand againt PETA and other animal rights groups. However I understand that it is a matter that we ALL have to discuss carefully before making a group decision. MrC
