Guest
It is everywhere and it grows into the public consciousness (or lack of it) to the extent where we are now judging animals. The Radio Times this week has a little review of a tv programme in which: " A small tourist boat entered the cold waters of monteray bay. This distressing documentary examines what happened when the visitors witnessed a pod of killer whales brutally attacking a California grey whale and her calf. " Now that may seem innocuous to some but its unbeleievable to me that any animal can be described as brutal when its own calves rely on such kills every day for them to live. So maybe PETA will start a campaign against killer whale brutality next. If animals could talk every man jack of em would be anti PETA for sure. How long before we start sanitising nature ? LordTheNightKnight
Touch. You ever heard of news sensationalism? It's just to GET RATINGS. That it involves animals is INCIDENTAL.

Guest
Touch. You ever heard of news sensationalism? It's just to GET RATINGS. That it involves animals is INCIDENTAL. It was not in the news it was in a radio times tv guide. It wans't hyped; or boxed....just written very "factual description of the progarmme". That is just the kind of language they use when it comes to anything about animals. Its everywhere in the UK . The Radio Times is not prone to sensationalise things (maybe with the possible exception of doctor Who lol) People complain about programmes which show animals killing each other constantly; they want animals to be cute and fluffy and are horrified when they are not. People have no idea that is how nature works and cannot comprehend that far from being "brutal" it is beautiful.
