Metruners31
I have to say that Nicole Kidman has always been a very sexy woman, nothing like a redhead with an accent, but she becomes more defined as sexy and classy when she puts on that coat .. anyone going to see the movie? bunnyson2
Unfortunately, the fur barely shows in the picture I get.I like N.K. and I really enjoyed her commercial for Chanel so I hope Roniphy will do her justice in another picture. Worker 11811
The brightness value of computer monitors (AKA: "Gamma") varies from model to model and between different types. The gamma of one monitor may be a little or a lot higher than another, thus making a picture look too bright or too dark when viewed on somebody else's computer. This is especially prominent when a picture is brightness/color balanced for LCD flat panel displays but is subsequently viewed on a CRT display. There is actually a whole field of expertise in the computer industry, specifically, and in the photography/movie industry, in general, that deals with this problem. There are programs that deal with color correction and brightness compensation to help an image made on one computer display well on another. Photoshop does have these tools built in but, depending on the version you use, they may or may not be available. Photoshop CS3 has the full set of color correction tools but Photoshop Elements has only basic tools. Even if the creator of the image uses a color profile, if the recipient's computer hasn't been set up to recognize the same color profile the image was created with, it might not display well despite all the work the artist went through. One solution for you might be to download the image onto your desktop then load it into Photoshop or some other photo editor program and crank up the brightness/gamma value. Like I said, this is a fairly widespread problem.
White Fox
One of the things that I have noticed is that most all LED monitors are set with terribly incorrect brightness and contrast when they come from the store. I always think that a really good test is this. Scan off a photo and look at the colours, etc., on your computer. If the photo is way into brightness and contrast distortion the monitor is just plain set wrong. Secondly, play a movie. If the brightness and contrast are too high, then your monitor is set wrong. And almost every monitor seems to be from the factory - UNLESS you get one that was used for display purposes in a store. When I got my computer I told them the monitor that I wanted, and told them flat our that I wanted the monitor set correctly when I got it home. And - it was. But nearly every one I see others using is set away wrong. I know one fellow that is so proud of his LED monitor. And it is set so badly that you cannot even see some of the tool bars properly! They are right into whiteout! Yet, the test is so simple. Just scan a photo with a good scanner. And see if your monitor matches that scan. Guest
I got mine mail order and had to set it myself. Fortunately I have excellent color perception and I figured out how to do it quickly. OFF

Thanks anyway !! Well bunnyson2 - I will indeed! Thanks for letting me know about the "too subtle "fur on Nicole. It is difficult to control the luminosity( across platforms) when working on images with dark backgrounds. I think Worker and White Fox have a better grasp of the cross platform technical issues than I do. I work in a very non standard computer environment -a Linux core , with GNU Unix and other graphics packages. I do my FMF graphic work in Photoshop CS2 (Mac interface package). Since I like both high key (very light white) and darker images I save my images in adobe RGB 1998 format. This is brighter than the standard windows color format and is commonly used in publications and printing applications. Anyway more Nicole soon. roninphy
Ahhhh bunnyson2 Thank you for your comment and suggestion. English is such a subtle language ! Truly. I have no telekinetic powers, merely limited expressive ones. So please pardon me, if I did not express my thoughts clearly. What I was trying to say was I see an analogy between creating a successful composite and what I have been told a sculptor* does in creating their art. The goal is to release the inner form from the stone as they work. To do so, you have to hold in your mind an image of what might be and then "make it so" as Captain Picard would have it. roninphy
Well Off I have to agree about Angelina Kostet did an amazing job. The others are fur fetish images from the "morph" community a kind of photomontage that involves morphing what is already present in a single image a bit like 'Alice in Wonderland" illustrations. I get some very nice and complementary PM's about these images but it seems less thread comments. There is a whole other fetish community called the the breast expansion archive (or something close) that specializes in these types of montage fake images. Probably not your cup of tea but I like beautiful women in fur of all types! As to your neoclassical preference and quite refined aesthetic suggestion. I am working working on Alica Witt - right now.! Cheers Roninphy
