FurLoverinFL
Question - the article notes that beaver fur is naturally water repellant. Is this characteristic lost if the fur is sheared? I've owned a 'long-hair' beaver coat and only felt sheared beaver - if I were to get another, I think I'd definitely get a sheared beaver coat. Guest
Sheared beaver will matt up after a more extended exposure to rain for instance. A light shower is no problem. Don't know about long haired Beaver since I've never worn it. This is wet air territory. It doesn't actually 'rain' that much, just ground level heavy clouds. I wear most of my furs in it and they don't seem to be any worse for wear. Rust is a Northwest suntan. OFF
