AKcoyote Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I am not sure, but it looks like dyed sheep probably a shearling.
Guest Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Some seller on eBay, a we-auction-it-for-you type of seller, said that their reputable vendor said the coat was vicu
AKcoyote Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 It is obviously not a sheared beaver. Sheared beaver, natural or dyed, is much more uniform in color. The color variations are appropriate for shearling lamb which along with the texture leads me to my stated opinion. That said, I am unfamiliar with vicu
Guest Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Deinitely NOT sheared Beaver. Even well worn. TExture is not right. It's close to Oppossum so it could well be Vicuna. Certainly a sheared or short haired version. My impression of Vicuna I've seen is of a longer hair. Not unlike its cousin Lahma and Guanaco. All are Camelids. http://www.llama.co.uk/guanaco.htm http://www.llama.co.uk/llama.htm http://www.llama.co.uk/vicuna.htm http://www.llama.co.uk/alpaca.htm http://www.llama.co.uk/camel.htm OFF
