furs and backpacks

hey,

 

please correct me if im wrong but its not good to wear a backpack over a fur right?? any fur for that matter??? I just wanna make sure im not gonna hurt my faux mahog mink bomber jacket. I wanna keep it in the best shape that it can be but yeah. Im just not sure and i dont wanna wear my coat and my backpack at the same time.........

I dunno about faux as I don't like or do faux, but yea, for real it's most certainly best avoided. The pressure tends to make the guard hairs pluck out and which then means the under fur gets matted.

Whether faux or real, you should avoid wearing anything (like a backpack) that can abrade the fur -- It can break off the guard hairs, permanently damaging the fur. I was shocked at the number of fur clad women I saw in NYC last week with heavy purses strapped to their shoulders, almost certainly abrading the fur.
