Guest
Was going to take pictures of my jackets today but a dead battery killed that. Especially when I can't find my recharger OFF PS. Found the charger I'll take pictures next weekend. Snow pictures in Mt. Rainer hopefully.
Zaphod_bee
Today was my firts try-on of the (unready) Overall. For now there is currently no collar and the edges are "raw" - but now I have to decide on o few things: (remember: the overall is designed to be "one-sided"; fur on one and nappa on the other for not to be too warm ...) For now the overall can even be worn under normal outfit; with jeans and pullover you can currently NOT see that a soft cocoon is weared below ! - will the collar be double-sided fur or single-sided to be folded down ? (single sided can be worn under the normal pullover, a double sided is too bulky and MUST be worn as a fur collar to be seen) - will there be a zipper in the middle (around the waist) to be able to divide the baby to one pair of trouser and one jacket ? --> Then of course you can zip-on a specialised sex-trouser as well as wear it inside of a normal coat ... - will there be a detachable hood ? -->then a double-sided collar is mandatory to hide the sewn-in eye´s for attaching the hood - An other possibility is a un-attached hood In principle there will be some fur on the leather-side to cover the zip, then on arms and legs (let open to fold it to any needed lenght) and possibly around the hip - if a zip is added there. Now for the big thing: I have an appointment with my furrier in two days and it would be most helpful to have your thoughts on above´s statings !! Yours (needing comments) Zaphod_bee PS: Once ready I will add photos to the gallery - but since I´m in the process of organising and designing my new baby with the furrier for 6 months right now don´t expect them to be there before mid/end of year ... Zaphod_bee
Good news for those who care !! My new baby will be ready by tomorrow !! Although it is only the starting point for the whole creation the main part will be ready: the fur overall has become reality !! The collar became the single sided design, but can be closed with the zipper just half-height - so you can either fold the rest down to get a double-sided one or can wrap almost the complete head in it. On the other side when weared open it really falls soft and big on the shoulder. The zipper around the waist is added, awaiting toys to be zipped to the "normal" overall ... I have decided against the detachable hood, but we prepared a design for a hood that does not need to get attached to the overall - it will be worn together with the collar tied up, that will have the advantage of seeing everything when turning the head (I think kyou now the normal way of not beeing able to see to the right or left when wearing a hood ) The two sides really came out beautiful, one side (leather outside) giving the most cuddly and soft feeling to the wearer (me ! ) one side beeing a person-sized cuddly and soft bear for others. The finished leather-side is really nice and feels quite comfortable against the skin - no prickling or anyzhing uncomfortable. When it warms up it is really a natural feeling. After a few weeks of holiday for my furrier we will go on adding some sort of boots, mittens and hood/mask as well as a panty/shorty to be zipped to the top.
