I have never tried on a pair like them before. I find them attractive ... But I'm not sure they're practical. Just curious if anyone owns/wears a pair and, if yes, what they think of them. mailonfurs
are these gloves or too long fur cuffs?
brandy-uk
Am I wrong in guessing this might just be a 'clothing - designers' appreciation or artisitic outlook on fur gloves.. or has anyone actually seen a 'real ' version of these gloves... They look to me like a fur version of my 'dusting gloves' that I use to clean my home.. But if a fur version was available .. I would be happy to buy a pair for stroking and fur play.... it would feel very soft against your skin.. he he he Brandy xxxxx

AKcoyote
I have a pair of coyote mitts very similar to what is pictured. A local furrier made them.

JGalanos
AK -- I think I mistyped and should have said "Fur Mittens" instead of "Fur Gloves" (as technically there are no fingers in the items pictured!). Do you wear your mittens outside? I like the look of them but practically speaking they look like they could be inflexible/cumbersome.
FurLoverinFL
I agree - while they look very warm, they seem to be not all that practical for many tasks. FLinFL ...of course, Brandy's 'suggestion' is a very good use for them!
Zaphod_bee
I for myself have fur mittens as well (rex rabbit on both sides). As far as I understood my furrier, it will not be possible to produce gloves - especially double sided ! So for the ultimate softness we have to stuck on mittens. They are from usability point of view more in the BDSM direction - you can not do that much with double-sided mittens Zaphod_bee
Guest
From a practical point-of-view [keeping your hands warm] mittens are much better than gloves because the fingers are NOT separate. For gripping the mitten is still functional because of the opposable thumb but no use at all for putting a quarter in the parking meter There are all those other "practical" uses of course which don't require even opposable thumbs. AKcoyote
AK -- ..... Do you wear your mittens outside? I like the look of them but practically speaking they look like they could be inflexible/cumbersome. Yes, I do wear my mittens - they match my coyote parka. As to practicality, they have leather palms and there are no flexibility problems. OFF pretty well nailed the mitten versus glove practicality issues. As with many things there are trade-offs between different designs for similar purposes. My hands easily get cold in the winter, so I generally prefer mittens unless the situation requires the dexterity of gloves.
samurman
A few months ago, I saw at a vintage store a beautiful fur-leather glove. The outer sides were covered with soft gray-white rabbit fur. But the palm and the inner sides were shiny black leather. The insides were fleece type fur. The glove was quite practical; as far as handling went, it was not much different than a leather glove. But when you turned the palm side down, the rabbit fur completely covered the outer side. Unfortunately, they were too small for me, and the price tag was about 80 dollars so I hesitated and moved on. I still regret not buying it, if not for just its beauty, then to show it as a model to a furrier a get a larger one custom made. I think the fur glove in the first message of this thread is of similar type, I mean, with leather on the inner side.
