brandy-uk
Hi.. I have bought 4 new furs for shooting pictures on my erotic fur website.. One of them is a coyote..(not with a hood...which is what I ultimately desire) The coyote has a beautiful change of colour from red..through light brown..to dark brown and then to Grey.. The jaket is in vertical colour changes so the colour changes happen around your body from top to bottom..subtly and slowly. The fur is tough..hard and resiliant..not soft (which was a surpirse to me..), and it has a dense feeling to it... The coat has a natural feel of 'outdoor' and 'outdoor' persuits... it seems to carry an air of.. well an outside 'logging or wood worker in cold conditions'.. I know of course you wouldn't really wear a fur coat to go logging.. but it is as if this coat has a different feeling to all my other furs.. It is almost as if the fur could only be worn for 'outdoor and roughty toughty activities..'.....or perhaps I am just being mad..! Sorry if i am just being a little strange.. it is just the coyote has left a''different' experience with me from all my others... has anyone else.. ever had a feeling like this... It will however. photograph.. amazingly well.. so keep watching kisses Brandy xxxx

JGalanos
Hi, Brandy. I own a custom coyote coat that I think is very luxurious. It was (allegedly) made using one of the top bundles of coyote pelts available in New York at the time I placed the order. The pelts are tan and white .... Roughly 40/60 would be my guesstimate which I've been told is an unusually high white ratio. The fur is very full and soft -- Not as soft as my fox coats but definitely not "tough" or "hard". The fur is not as formal as my ranch mink, silver fox, or crystal fox coats ... But I think it is appropriate for casual and semi-dressy occasions (probably not right for tuxedo-clad occasions). I think pelt color/quality/texture for specific furs can vary greatly -- And it sounds like your jacket and my coat may have come from opposite ends of the coyote spectrum. brandy-uk
You may well be right..JGalanos.. I still love the Coyote.. don't get me worng...I just am aware that the feel of the pelt gives me a.. well. sort of different feeling to what I normaly get from fur... It is stilll beautiful..as all fur is lovely.. but it definately has a feel of work and labour and not of fun and sexual pleasure... kisses Brandy xxxxxxx
foxkid
This is why I li ke Lynx so much. It has the natural depth of coyote, but is softer than fox. Darker coyote I've noticed seems to be coarser (as the guard hairs are normally black at the end). Lighter colours have more under fur so seem to be softer from my experience. FurLoverinFL
I LOVE coyote! I'm on my second coyote coat. We'll not figuratively... uh... well, maybe figuratively! FLinFL
ReFur
Brandy, one thing Lynxette has stressed in several of her posts is the importance of age and quality of pelt. Then the issue of how it was cared for enters into it. My coyote is very erotic and plush. It do have it trimmed out in a dense White Fox. So, that does have something to do with it. I love it. In no way do I feel it to be a "utility" type fur. I do feel it is sporty and I would not want to wear it for formal wear. It is amazing to me the power a fur has over me. Each in its own way. lynxette
What Foxkid says is generally accurate...the lighter or "bluer" a coyote pelt is, the thicker, softer and plusher the coat will be. More golden and darker tones tend to be less so.
brandy-uk
I am by no means complaining about the texture.. I love the subtle colour changes.. and the coarse hair just leads me to a different feeling about the coat.. Brandy xxxx
JGalanos
It's still wintry here -- It has snowed twice in the past week. I wore my coyote coat tonight in your honor, Brandy. I gave it a critical eye and changed my mind re: its appropriateness for formal occasions. I have never worn it to a formal event, but with its classic shawl collar styling, ankle length, and creamy fur I think it could be tux-worthy. I hope you gave me a few passing thoughts throughout your night as you were wearing the Coyote.. he he I am glad that you have tried it at formal wear... all I need to do is find somewhere formal to wear mine.. ha ha kisses Brandy xxxxx

brandy-uk
Moso.. Myavatar is a red fox.. it is very soft and very tactile... the coyote has a harder brush..more coarse.. but its colours are just gorgeous and delicious... the subtle changes from grey to black mixed with brown are what drew me to the fur... it is not wirey..just the fur is stiffer..but it is not a problem at all.. I am rather excited about getting the coyote into my photographs as the colour chage will be very very dramatic..on film kisses Brandy xxxxx
brandy-uk
I just received a full length silver fox from Alphonso... it produces a feeling of cuddly, soft, gentle stroking pleasure.... it is almost down-like and makes you want to snuggle down... which is a totally different feeling to the coyote... The Silver fox makes me feel like wearing nothing underneath and walking the streets... it makes me excited and a little bit crazy...but i think that is the full length of it.. it lends itself to naughty thoughts. ha ha ha ha kisses brandy xxxxx
