The Fur Days Seem To Be Over...cont

Sorry to create a new topic on the same previouly created subject, but I couldn't post a reply to the original post.

This response is directed at Mr. Mockle. We all very much appreciate your past and present contributions. You commented that "finding a suitable model isn't hard or expensive to do". What pointers can you offer us in regards to helping us find a model. I find myself embarrassed when it comes time to approch the subject with someone.

Another problem is my spouse who even though she is well aware of my love of fur would be very jeolous if she were to find that I was taking pictures of another woman in furs.

Black...

Mr M has a whole essay on this in our Library. Just look for the "Wiki (Library)" tab up top by your Chat and Gallery tab, etc. Then click through and look for the "Photography" section. You will find the essay in there.

It contains a lot of information on precisely this subject that Mr M wrote up for us awhile back.

Folks, this is a good time to mention that there is indeed a whole lot of information in the Library. And, there is room for so much more. If you see anything that should be in there at any time feel free to place it in there or have one of us do it for you. Also, take some time to explore the place some time if you have not done that. You might well find some interesting little surprises in there!

Blackwillo,

It's been a while since I wrote that article although I'm sure that most or all of it still holds. Without repeating too much of it, if you have the time, money, freedom and motivation to hire a model to pose in your furs then you will find one or more to do so. If you want to look for a model then just surf the internet; there are many model registers and lists around and lots of photography sites which feature adverts from models, photographers and studios worldwide. Many models also have their own websites and can be contacted directly there. Unless you live in a relatively remote part of the world, you should find a few local options this way.

Alternatively, others have turned to friends and family to help out modelling them too - although this touches on the "freedom" aspect. For many here, fur is still a covert, secretive passion and they will keep their passion hidden from friends, family, housemates and partners. But some of you will be more open about your passions and know women or men who may consider modelling them if the question is posed in the right way ands what sort of images you are looking to take, of course. On any embarassment, that's where the motivation comes in; I was very nervous although not really embarassed in my early shoots but once you do a few you get used to them, and if using people you know well that shouldn't be a factor once you have spoken to them about fur.

The trust issue is highly important though and if you are planning to do such photoshoots in such circumstances you must think things through. I can't comment on this directly though as I met my partner after starting the shoots so she knew about them and my love for furs. However you question suggests you might have or might stir up wider issues through such actions.

Regards,

Mr Mockle

Thank you to both Whitefox and especially MrMockle for their informative replies. The ideas put forth are definitely something to think about and consider. Thank you both again.
