davey1981
hi all! Mr Ivan_Dubov came with the idea of making furmovie torrents!!! Instead of a furhub... So i decided to make some of my recent furs on the street (amsterdam) available for all of you!!! It would be great if we could all share our clips this way!!! I used the Pirate Bay for sharing.. and to make it easy: let's all put 'furhub' in front of the file names... anyway here they are: http://thepiratebay.org/user/david_furever i'm online so i'm not quite sure why there are 0 seeders, i guess it needs time to be ready for download enjoy! and i like to hear if you like the idea and my clips
ffl83
Just download the .torrent from the piratebay, and seed this. Not that you upload to piratebay.
Worker 11811
Hey! I can dig it! Only one request: Please don't advertise torrents which violate copyrights or which contain illegal/immoral materials. Consider advertising a torrent the same as any other web link. All links, be they web pages, pictures, videos or torrents or other things, need to stay within our code of conduct. This isn't because of any personal preference on my part. This is because we don't want our website to run afoul of any laws or rules set forth by our ISP. I'm only trying to keep the Fur Den out of legal hot water. Added Later: I'm seeing several peers tracking the torrents you posted but I don't see any seeders at all. Have you seeded the torrent yourself? Or, have you only posted the torrent link? It might take time for the swarm to propagate.

Worker 11811
I am leeching the first torrent (furhub amsterdam 2007-12-30) right now. It is not downloading very fast because there are more leechers than seeders. I will leave my torrent client up and running as long as I can so that it will help seed to the rest of you. Once that file has been seeded to more people they can become feeders. The file will start to download faster for everybody once that happens. I have a very fast internet connection at the location this computer is running from. If enough people seed we will have a "swarm" building up in a relatively short time. So let's put the word out! PLS SEED! http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4185962/furhub_amsterdam_2007-12-
samurman
In my humble opinion, torrent is not a suitable distribution medium for fur videos for two reasons: (1) the limited number of people who would be interested in such content. If the content in question was the latest episode of Lost or the latest blockbuster movie, there would be thousands of people flocking in, but for fur videos, I doubt the number would ever exceed 15 or 20. I am talking about the number of people whose computers are on at a given moment, who are ready and interested in downloading that fur video, but more importantly, who HAVE NOT YET downloaded it. Once the initial rush dies, the torren dies too (2) the unlimited interest of these few fur lovers. Once a fur video is made available online, there might still be a few people after many weeks and months, who do not have the video and who would like to get it. The torrent mechanism will not work for them. When the DC furhub was operational, I would occasionally find time to join it and download some videos. It required a few dedicated people who acted as distribution hubs, but still, if I only found one person in the hub with 2 GB of shared files, I found something interesting to download. Rapidshare may well be another alternative. Although it relies on one central server and doesn't quite give one the satisfaction of belonging to an online sharing community, if the links are shared on a forum such as this one, it would be a convenient way. One user downloading the video every 90 days will be enough to keep the content available.
Worker 11811
I've got to agree with you on a lot of that. The whole concept of bittorent is based on distribution of the load among many players. There just aren't enough seeders right now to make downloading the torrents effective. I've been downloading that first video for almost 10 hours now and I don't even have half of it yet. When I left, it only had 35% and it had been stalled for several minutes. It just doesn't seem like there are that many feeders right now. I hoped that, once I downloaded the file that others would be able to join in and seed but it doesn't seem like there are enough. Or, at least, there aren't enough YET. I agree with samurman about the shallow pool of potential seeders and their interest in keeping any given file alive on the torrent any longer than needed for them to get what they want. On the other hand, if a few people coordinate their efforts well enough, it is possible to get a good swarm going and the downloads will speed up. This is why I decided to put my computer to work for the good of the community. I don't use that particular computer all the time so it sits idle for a large part of the day. When I am out of the office it is behind locked doors so I am able to leave it running overnight. The internet connection at my place of work is very fast. There are four T-1s servicing the complex and when internal network traffic is light I can have access to almost all of the network's bandwidth. It is my hope that, overnight, the computer will download a lot more data and start seeding for others. Once those people join in the torrent will grow and, hopefully, they will return the favor for others. Like I said, if we can get a good "club" going, I think we CAN share some videos by bittorrent. But, because we don't have very many members to share the load, we all have to pitch in and do our part or else, like samurman says, this won't work. davey1981
Using the hub would be the best ofcourse, i totally agree! I live at home at the moment, and my parents don't allow me to have the computer running if i'm not behind it So, as for me, who puts the file on torrent, for now you can only download when i'm online... sorry bout that.. I would love to run a hub, i did try someday, but didn't get it working... Maybe we can choose an already existing hub and meet there?.. if we make the usernames furhub_yourname we know where to look... how bout that? Worker 11811
I noticed the feed running slow. There are always about 6 leechers and only one seeder. I have been trying to get the first file downloaded for over two days but I had to give up after getting only 60% of the pieces. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I wasn't using the computer in one location so it was okay for me to leave it running 24 hours per day. But, now, I need to use that computer for work. I had to stop the torrent download. Sorry... If I can find time to leave that machine running, I'll put it up but it will have to be later. FrBrGr
Seems to me this thing is far more trouble than it's worth . . .
Worker 11811
The idea behind bittorrent is "insanely great". You take a file, break it up into 1,000 little pieces and spread them among several computers, spaced all over the internet. Then, when somebody wants to download that file, they use their bittorrent client program to find those "peer" computers and download the pieces. In so doing, you get ultimate redundancy and incredible download speeds because you're not dependent on just one computer to send you the information. All peer computers connected to the torrent can either upload information to others or download information from any peer on its horizon. No one computer is solely responsible for maintaining the information. The down side is that it takes at least 6 - 10 available peers to get a good torrent flowing so that others can can download the file easily. If you only have 1 or 2 peers available to download from you end up with a situation where there are many "leechers" and only a few "seeders". In this situation you end up with just the opposite effect. The downloads become slow and unreliable. This is the situation I was trying to remedy when I made my computer available to the network and left it running for 2 days. Unfortunately, there were not enough seeders and too many leechers. We couldn't get over that initial hump and create a true torrent. (AKA: A "storm".) If I can coordinate with "ffl83" well enough, maybe we can try this again. He needs to seed the file to me so that I can send it to the others. The network bandwidth I have at my disposal can support several peers leeching the file. The main problem is that I can't do this all the time. My computer and bandwidth are needed for other things. I can only do this on my off-hours. Maybe we can try again later.
