UK Television, Thursday 7th Aug

Recommended Posts

I was watching TV the other day, not a regular occuurance really, but saw an advert tha truly grabbed my eye for an upcoming programme.

All I noted was that it started this Thursday, and mainly that what appeard to be the lead characcter was wearing a matching blue fox coat and hat in the advert. No promises as to the fur contant for the rest of the show, but a promising start.

Any one else in the UK notice this too? I'm on nights thurs night (my last one!) so will not be able to watch, and having moved out into a friends sofa bed in the office in his house, don't have access to a hard drive recorder system.

Can any one help, or find out, or if you see it, post a link to the i-player if it is bbc.

Hello,

Any more clues as your request is a bit vague? Do you remember what channel the advert was on - or even if it was a BBC or commercial channel? And do you recall anything more about the lead character: sex, rough age, hair or skin colour?

Regards,

Mr Mockle

Ah yes,

Female, mid thirtys, think it might have been channel 4.

I will have a look through some TV listings if I can find some.

Sorry, I only really just caught the end of it, and obviously noted the costume. It looked like good quality furs too, not vintage old stuff.

It was a new series, starting on thursday eve.

Hi

it was actually a clip from the Tudors believe it or not.

more interestingly on Channel 4 there is a documentary called “kill it skin it wear it” can the fur industry be justified - that should be worth a watch

Have a good day

The tudors, showing at 11.15 pm on wednesday 5th Aug on BBC1.

Review and information: http://www.radiotimes.com/shows/the-tudors/

Kill it, skin it, wear it, showing on Sunday 10 August

10:00pm - 11:05pm

Channel 4

review and info: http://www.radiotimes.com/ListingsServlet?event=10&channelId=132&programmeId=82680759&jspLocation=/jsp/prog_details_fullpage.jsp

I won't be able to catch the Tudors, but will try to watch the Kill it, Skin it, wear it programme on Sunday. From the review, it is done by a fur lover, Merrilees Parker, so shopuld be open minded and have a fairly sensible approach.

I don't know if these channels are availble on line or digital to others outside the UK. Any one else know?

Is this going to be a repeat then? I've not seen it or heard of it before.

The format sounds like it could have been done in a none biased way, just looking at the facts and allow viewers to make up their own minds.

I'm with Brandy, I hope that it is not just another excuse for people to be ignorant and throw abuse.

If I can watch it, I will try to in order to make up my own view, but as I emmigrate on Monday, might have a bit on!

Will be interesting to see how the programme pans out, and what others think of it.

And also how good the Tudors will be tonight.
