PETAfiles on eBay...

As we all know PETA seem to hang about eBay and enjoy causing disruption to listings. I noticed last winter they particularly liked to have a dig when I sold a few items in order to make room for some new stuff. (I think they weren't too keen on the fact the blanket I had a over a couple of hundred hamsters in it ).

As a result I was wondering if it would be worth compiling some sort of list of members known to cause a hassle. That we everyone here and keep a block list of know bidders that cause a hassle (given that I had a couple of non paying PETAphiles).

What do people think?

Here's a few offenders to start the list:

5097claire, bobntosh, goth*chick, ilovehamsters88, kiksumone, spice_boy_2005, pj137

Sounds like a plan, but methinks that it would in all likelihood lead to more fun and games here than there. However, if used as a reference....................

If enough people give us information, we could either make a sub forum for this, or use wiki somehow. Let's see who leaves a few names here and how it goes. Suggest we even give it another 60 days or more and ask again. So many people holidaying now.

Yea, it's not really the season at the moment. However, it would be a good thing to have a list of offenders, particularly the type that like to waste time reporting perfectly legit stuff to eBay, or the types that are clearly anti fur that send you rubbish and then snipe items at the last minute of a newly signed up account to stop you from selling.

If anybody has had trouble from people claiming to be with PeTA there's nothing stopping them from posting their experiences right here in this thread.

But let's keep it factual... Okay?

No hearsay. No "Friend of a Friend."

Either it happened to you, directly, or you saw (read) it happen to somebody else.

I understand that the furden forum pages are open to search engines, as access to the forums does not require any membership. Has the option of accessing the forum conditional on (free) membership been discussed, among the admins&mods? Personally I would prefer such an arrangement, though it would mean the occasional hussle of typing in my username and password when I am away from my own computer...

Another idea that has come up to me is this: how about a separate subforum for pro-fur and anti-PETA activism? I know some people who are simply turned off when they see the acronym PETA. Besides, in a dedicated sub-forum, these topics could be discussed in greater depth than here in the general forum. This way, the Fur Den would be kept to the appreciation of fur at its purest. What do you think?

Sorry short on time.

Yes, most of the forums are visible to the public. The Fur Freaks, and Brandy's thread are not. We feel that if the forums are hidden, that we will get few new members. T"Fetish", is a private topic, and often people wish to visit and read for a long while before they decide that they would like to discuss such topics with others, etc.

As to PETA name. Yes, I agree, and often avoid using it. A PETA sub forum is a possibility but would like to know the thoughts on others. Sometimes dividing up t he area with too many forums makes it hard for folks to navigate. We have received such comments in the past.

Please let us know your thoughts folks
