Important poll and comments for all members.

Folks, as you know we now have somewhere well over 950 links in our links section. It is now the largest links section on the net I believe by far, that has all links up to date within 6 months at least. Creating this links section, was a huge job as you can imagine. Keeping it up to date is even more so. At the moment, JG, FrBrGr, and I are all involved in trying to keep it up to date. If you have not visited our links area, please do so before reading further!

 

We would like to know if you find it useful. Have you gone there to spend a bit of time looking at fur links. Do you like or dislike the way that we rate them. Which links area do you like if you have gone. Or do you like the "Thrill of the hunt" to find the links rather than to just go to find them in our links area. ***Remember that you can vote on up to two options in the poll. Not just one as is usually the case. You can also change your vote if you change your mind, but you cannot vote twice.

 

When we started this newly redeveloped links area it was started as an experimental project. We would like to know how this "experiment" is working, and if it is used. Please give us an idea on your thoughts in this poll. It is very, very important that you answer polls like this as it gives us ideas on which ways to take the Den in it's development. For instance links pages like videos, Ebay, or Information could be discontinued if members never use them.

 

Also, I hope that you will make replies in this thread as well to give us ideas on your thoughts to the questions above, and any others you have as well. Even if you make a reply please post in the poll as that is the way to give us a true reflection on everyone's thoughts here.

Personally, I seldom use the links area unless I am looking for a specific fur related site that I have forgotten the address for. Usually, I have enough distractions that I do not have the time to browse around the Net's many fur sites.

 

I do think our Links area is a great resource for those who do not want to wade through multiple pages of Google search results to find one interesting fur site.

I am very glad for the help of those who have answered this poll. However, folk we only have 17 answers with some of those being two entries. We really need your help here to know and decide how to proceed with future updates and advancements in the Links area. As mentioned, keeping links up to date in this area is a huge task so we need to be careful how we proceed.

 

We would truly really appreciate it if you would take part in this poll and give us your thoughts. This is what helps us to give you a site that YOU want rather than a site that WE want! We would really appreciate your ideas.

- I really like the link list and that it´s updated, but I seldom have the time to actually surf around !

 

For me almost everything regarding fur in the internet is located within the fur den - I simply do not need any more at this time

It's like keeping a Rolodex file.

 

You know it's there. You use it to find names and information. You may even do so frequently.

But how often do you actually go through and read your whole Rolodex?

I probably review the links pages an average of once per quarter -- Checking to see what's new, checking out sites that I have not visited in a while, etc. Many of the sites listed don't show up in my routine Google searches. I think the links pages are an important part of the site and would hate to see them discontinued or become so outdated they lose their relevance.

I clicked as close to the answers 'that are right for me' but my perfect answer was just not there..

 

' I have been to the links area but I just don't have to spare time to search the net at the moment..but that is not to say that i wont go there in the future once i am looking for more fur images to stimulate my mind.'

I am sorry for the delay here folks as I have been rather occupied. However, I want to thank everyone who took the time to vote and/or post on this thread. As you can probably imagine it is a huge help to have the idea of 41 members about their thoughts on our links pages! And, almost 75% of you who voted told us you enjoyed that area. I thought it would be closer to 30%, and was wondering if the work there was worth it, searching through that every 6 months, etc. It is a huge work load on the site, similar in some ways to the Gallery that way.

 

*You have certainly told us that our work on this area is well worth while!

 

Thanks again everyone for your input. Once again, if you have any suggestions on our site at all we would love to hear them no matter how large or small! It is through such suggestions and comments from members that we can often make this a much better place!
