JGalanos
http://abclocal.go.com/wjrt/story?section=news/local&id=6383648 http://www.burtrumfurs.com/index.html I remember a few years ago an area furrier closed suddenly/unexpectedly in early fall and there was an uproar when customers went to pick up their furs and found the doors locked. I had been in the shop once, but had never done any business with them. The (manufacturing) furrier had been in business for over 75 years, so it was sad to see a multi-generation family business go under. I believe the 2000+ furs in their vault were eventually reunited with their owners.
Guest
I think a more controlled version of that happened with Schumacher's in Portland, Orgegon. In fact I think they are still in the fur storage business but no retail. OFF
