Worker 11811
A video montage style advertisement for Adams Furs of Montclair, NJ shot to the tune of "Dream Lover" by Bobby Darrin. Pretty nice!
FrBrGr
How apropos! Our fur queens are our dream lovers - ! Just being picky here - They could have chosen better locations. If that was all shot in front of their store (was it?) you sure couldn't tell, except for a couple of frames where you see there name on the very small neon sign - Maybe it would have been better if it was shot inside the store with their stock displayed. Otherwise, IMHO, they should have shot the video at more scenic places . . .
White Fox
I didn't time that. And it seems to repeat. I wonder, was that actually a TV commercial or what it was shot for? I went to find their web site and they don't have one. I was going to put it in our links section. I see the video is in our links section, but in the wrong place. Oops... I'll have to change that some time in the future. Sorry, my fault. W
Worker 11811
If it was shot for broadcast, it probably should repeat a little bit. That's how you "impress" the image in the customer's mind. You've also got to remember the "three second" rule... You've got about 3 seconds to get the viewer's attention and push your message across. If looked at under that light, the spot is okay. But... since the clip is two minutes and some-seconds long, it's way too long for broadcast as a TV commercial. TV stations clip ads all the time. This one would be cut off at exactly 29 seconds and 29 frames and BOOM! It's done! I know! I have had one of my ads clipped like that! (The bastages could have ripple cut off part of the beginning and it wouldn't have ruined the spot! : )
White Fox
Ah Man! I fixed it but I screwed up SO bad there! Now I need to be punished. Could someone call Linda or Lynxette, and have them tie me to my bed and whip me while they are wearing furs... I so need to be punished! paul2809
as a videographer my self, I thik the shots look good but I do agre with you that the producer/director could have had thier lighting tech use more lighting in some of the darker shots with a soft large screen cover to properly disburse the light instead of a straight on harsh look which looks like you know what . IO would have personally have set up 2 in the area to enhance the look but thats just me. No doubt the furs are gorgeous and the ladys look geate in them too. Only one shot I didnt particularly care for was right infront of the shop window, the contrast was just wierd in my opinion but at the same time I think it i was ok bc there was really nothing but the gal in her fur and just in the glass window there. The close up shots of the pretty blone gal in the red fur hat, that I liked, that is cute and the girl in the sable coat and hat. I think in some degree that the company could have hired some one little bit more proffessional to do the shoot. It sounds to me like it was a small company that made the shoot. But its what ever. Either the Editor used Final Cut Pro HD for the Mac series or he or she used Adobe Premier CS3 Suite for this. Paul
