trebor
We have 2 inches of snow on the groung here in Utah. I have a fire going in the fireplace, furs draped all around and am going out in my furs. Oh by the way, I'm glad I had my coyote vest with me yesterday while I was fishing. I had 50 mile an hour wind gusts and snow flurries. Didn't catch anything but still had a grear time. FurBob
FurLoverinFL
Just back from Denver. Fur weather was starting to come to that city as well. Saturday and Sunday were cold - at least for someone from Florida! Lots of fur trims to be seen, but unfortunately, no real fur coats or jackets (there were a couple of bad fakes to be seen). JGalanos
We had our first official frost last night. Brrr. It's cold out. I'm heading to dinner shortly in a mink jacket (ranch or mahogany TBD ... decisions, decisions). I officially declare Fur Season 2008 open! Joe
We had frost last night. I saw my first official fur of the season on Sunday in New York (of all places...) where it was 55 degrees at midday, yet in midtown it felt colder. Near Columbia and Barnard, I saw a teenage blonde girl in a brown piecemeal rabbit vest. Oversized. The fur compensated for the huge bug-eyed sunglasses, black tights, leg warmers and (f)ugg boots. I also saw a woman with a small grey mink over her arm at the Museum of Modern Art. And of course the Italian tourists were bundled up to their necks in their coyote-hooded parkas...indoors. Tonight feels warmer, but I brought my new custom rabbit-lined hooded sweatshirt just in case. Fur Season 2008-2009 is here...a perfect antidote to the recession blues. FINALLY. in_da_fox
We finally should have some sub zero weather here in the UK at last. We used to have frosts / cold weather all of the time when I was a kid, as I always recall deicing the car. Odd because it rare to get such weather despite the fact I have since moved up from the warm part of the country to what is supposed to be a cold bit up North! JGalanos
It's snowing! From a fur wearing perspective, how exciting! From a snow shoveling perspective ... Ugh, not again! I will be making my seasonal debut in full length fur this evening -- Wearing ankle length fisher to the theater. Has it cooled down enough to warrant long sleeves in Florida, Linda? ReFur
JG, I have been surprised on how cool it gets here in Orlando! My mink vest is going to be a treat to wear once in a while! In fact, I promised E! if we got a big cool spell I would bring my coyote/ white fox stroller and we would go for a walk on the beach! Right now everything is still in Georgia. Will get them in a few weeks. Linda

Worker 11811
We've had a couple-few cold nights here in Pennsyltucky. We have had light snow a couple of times too. But, just yesterday, the temperature was 70º in the afternoon. It's now about 45º and, by midnight, it will probably drop below 40º. Over the last few weeks, the night time temperatures have been in the 30º - 40º range with peaks in the mid 40's. My wife's fur coat came back from the furrier, just this week. We can't wait for it to get nice and cold!
Guest
We've had a burst of very temperate weather along with a lot of heavy rain and river flooding. OFF
Mr Barguzin
You Northerners don't know what heat is.... just as we Southerners don't truly get to appreciate a beautiful cold (therefore fur necessary) winter. So stop ya bitchin' or I'll send my weather up your way At least it is cool enough to sleep under fur at night. Sometimes.
JGalanos
I fear I will always be a child at heart. About a year ago I set a personal record wearing 4 different furs over a three day weekend. I'm heading out of town tomorrow for a long weekend , taking along 6 furs. With over a dozen places/events on my itinerary and cold temps forecasted for Saturday and Sunday, I'm looking furward to breaking my record. One of the advantages of having a closet full of furs is having a fur for every occasion.
JGalanos
I'm looking furward to breaking my record I doubt anyone cares ... But success! I wore 6 different furs over the course of 3 days. Full length furs for theatre and museums, jackets for shopping, dinner, and appointments. Warm, indeed!

Sobel
Have been windy and cold today. So it`s nice to wear a full furcoat against the wind. Keep my legs warm.
JGalanos
Interesting kind of 'record' quest I am considering submitting a request to the IOC to add this "event" to the Winter Olympics -- The "FurAthlon".
