I am very sorry, that Melody went down just before the grand opening of the new Den, and thankful that we have an emergency home here. Let me wish you an always stable database and lots of posts! fur_babe
A great site. I think one of the things that will become obvious is that the site is never complete. There will always be things to add making the site even better. All of my best wishes to the crew who did all of the work. And to all all of the members, keep up the good work. Velvet_Tigress
While the new 'place' does seem a bit empty as of now, I have no doubt that soon our new home will be full of posts, information, boys drooling over girls, girls drooling over boys and everything else that made us such a wonderful community and (dare I say it?) family. The move might be a bit hectic, and the movers (*nudges White, FBR and company*) might be a bit late in getting all our stuff here, but this place is already home again. I can scarcely wait to see what's next. Kate

Guest
Its great. And lots of newbies have joined....anyone know why? Is it a presentation/more inviting thing, or is it the name change? I always thought Melody O'Hair an odd name and it did I confess put me off joining for a while. Can I ask the Newbies? the format is less cramped and I think there is now room for everyone to flourish and share without cramping one another in posts where there were lots of things going on. Yes OFF its good. PS You have had some more great new avatars; I liked the crystal fox red head and this new one.
Pluto
touchofsable: It's kind of kick my ... to end my state as guest/lurker and to contribute to the world of fur admirers-fans-denizens. Been around for years, I guess, at Melody's. Several times I thougt I had to add my words to some of those discussions about fetish, favourite furs, and, especially thx to the ladies on board, the wealth of different perspectives and approaches to the furry world in general. Wow, what I already learned about myself and my fur fetish! It turned from that unwanted porn stuff in my mind onto the way of feeling self confidence and being alright with it. And on Saturday night the target was clear: Become a member of the new fur den! It's time for a change. Here I am. By the way - yesterday I puzzled how to introduce myself, where to start. Thank you, touchofsable, to have asked the newbies ... More about myself will be disclosed in future posts on appropriate occasion. Since English is not my mother tongue, several dictionaries including Oxford's Visual Dictionary support me, thus I am far from being fluent at posting. Am excited to be with you all (and feel comfortable), Pluto
Mr Barguzin
Pluto Glad to see you come in from the cold. Enjoy your time here, and don't worry about correctness in english (the yanks haven't for years *grin*). We'll figure it out one way or the other *grin*
Cling79
I've been a long time fan of the old melody site but never posted, it seemed a little bit elitist if ya get my drift. Now i reckon its a fresh start for a lot of us and i fur one wont be shy about posting. With the amount of members it really seems to have become a bit more accepted to up periscope and join the groups."what no shame or guilt" he says disbelievingly ,This looks to be a really well put together forum and i'm proud to be one of the gang (newbie or not) Cheers guys. Mr Barguzin
*raising hand*"Ou Ou Ou" (as a Arnold Horshack would say) I think I resemble that 'elitist' remark. *going and sitting in the corner* Right.. (having gotten that outta my system), Welcome into the land of the poster, Cling79. All contributions gladly accepted... and any furs you wish to hand out are also greatly appreciated *grin* The participation of yourself, Pluto and other newbies is what will make this place grow and Prosper. FrBrGr
Wecome to The Fur Den Pluto! Many like you have come to the Den feeling the same as you, and many have gained a confidence about their love for fur that they never imagined possible. That has been my mission ever since the opening of the very first Fur Den years ago at Delphi Forums. It is so gratifying to hear you say what the Den has meant to you! It's great to have you on board, and we look forward to hearing from you often. For Pluto, touchofsable and all Denizens: As for the question about "Newbies" that you and touchofsable have, everyone is a newbie right now, and will remain in the lower echelon of total post counts until after we are able to transfer all of the data over from Melody O'Hair. Now, to give you the enormity of that task, first we have to bring everything over from Melody (both the wool side and the old Den are on the same database) then we have to try to separate everything pertaining to the old Den from everything pertaining to the wool side. Programs have to be written then to incorporate that old, edited database into our new database. We are really, really grateful that JoeAl has consented to come over to help AKcoyote undertake this humongous task. Bottom line, though, is that everyone needs to be patient until this job is done. We discussed waiting to move the Den until that happened, but that would have meant waiting another four or five months, and we didn't want to do that! Transferring the database is now our number one priority. Then we'll deal with the picture upload section, and somewhere down the line, a chat area. PLUS any other ideas everyone would like for us to include! Ain't it great??
Guest
Take your time, not a problem. My only comment was about real newbies....are there quite a few new ones, or are they old re registered?
FrBrGr
Take your time, not a problem. My only comment was about real newbies....are there quite a few new ones, or are they old re registered? Ahhhhhh . . . Now I see your point, TOS. It is impossible to know the difference between a real-honest-to-goodness newbie here in the new Den, and someone who was a member of the old Den who never posted. Not until we bring over the old posts, post counts and membership dates.
