how do I change my username?

We prefer to discourage username changes as they can lead to some confusion for those reading our forums. When a username is changed, any posts made by the user prior to the change retain the old username and that old username is displayed with those older posts as the poster. This can be confusing as the old username which still shows on old posts is not in the memberlist, and the new username may not necessarily be recognizable as the same person as the old username.
