Themes question for our Gallery.

I would love to know what theme you use for our Gallery. As you know, if you look around on the front page you will see "Choose a Theme". That allows you to totally change the look of the Gallery layout.

 

I myself use "Eyeball" as I find it is much more relaxing to the eyes.

 

Please fill out the following poll, and let us know which "theme" you use.

 

The default is "Rainy Day" so if you have not changed, that is what you will be using.

 

I am allowing two choices just in case you love two and can't decide.

 

I am also setting so you can change your vote. Please do not vote twice though.

 

Depending on the outcome, we may leave the default as it is, or we might change it. If we change the default it will be siimply that. You will still be able to pick which ever style (theme) you wish to use.

 

I hope our staff will vote on this one as well.

I like "Igames" because it's easy on the eyes, yet provides nice contrast for the pics.

I have gone for eyeball just for a change.. I like dark colours.... some of the backgrounds were too white for my liking.. made me blink too much,,

It is strange you know.

 

Generally most things with black backgrounds I do not like, as they can be hard on the eyes in the same way. The contrast with the text etc can be that way. However, in the Gallery, the black against the pictures seems to still be easy to read the text, and the photos seem to stand out better than with a lot of others.

 

It is still personal preference though. The one thing about the black style is that it is hard to find the "Load" feature to put photos in the Gallery. I looked around that for an endless time when we were testing things out. Everyone kept wondering why I could not find it. Kept saying just look for the tab up top, and I could not understand how I could not see it.

 

Little things get to me!

 

*****I highly encourage everyone to try the different themes if you have not done so already. It really does make such a difference. It is of course personal preference as to colouring for the site, etc, and this allows each and everyone to find their own private way to look at our Gallery.

 

*****It is also very important that everyone vote on these polls. This is what allows us to decide what you as an individual like and to have your own little say on how our site is designed and works.

Originally I think it was hardwired, now it is eyeball and I'll probably change again later. It is definitely true that the text is easier on one's eyes in the darker formats.... and that fruity one is definitely nowhere near the middle of my list... if ya gets what I means.

I'm using the Default Rainy Day. After all, I live in the Pacific NW.

 

Actually it matches the rest of The Look I have on my Linux Desktop. I too, abhor stark white.

 

I like he good legibility of Rainy Day as well. Tinny bleached out text on some of the others is just too much visual pain.

Folks, it is very important that we hear from others on this. It is only through surveys like this one that we can tell what you folks like and dislike about the site and bring it to the better.

I voted for both Rainy Day, 'cos i've had it since i signed up, & Fruity, partially because it's so different and partially because i'm giving it a trial run.

Right now: "Classic."

 

Previously: "Rany Day."

 

But I often change themes on websites I visit on a regular basis.

It keeps people who look over my shoulder while I'm typing from recognizing what I am doing. They never get used to seeing the same thing.
