samurman
I have come across an ebay listing which features a yarn made from 70% mink wool (or should we say mink hair?) and 30% cashmere. The listing description is quite descriptive in how they produce the yarn. They shear the minks once a year and remove guard hairs. They then mix the remaining mink hairs with cashmere. I guess cashmere fibers act as a medium through which mink hairs stick together. Or cashmere may serve the function of polyamide or acrylic found in many mohair yarns... Anyone tried this yarn? http://cgi.ebay.com/70-mink-30-cashmere-yarn-Natural-230-yards-DK_W0QQitemZ120458181002
