White Fox
Say, it is always fun to hear this time of year. Anyone had the chance to wear real fur yet, or has anyone seen any gals wearing furs? I mean, a full length coat, or jacket, etc. Around here it has not even been close yet. I did pick up a new beaver once and wore it home just over two weeks from now, but here we seldom get the chance to wear fur before the end of October. Guest
I'm sleeping under fur with the recent low 40's OFF
fox4me
Well sort of.....I dropped off my mink to be repaired the other day. While I was at the furrier, he asked me if there were any coats I might like to try on. Well, an hour later I walked out the door with a big smile on my face. Can't wait to pick it up on Fri. White Fox
Say, what'd yu' get Fox4me? Looking forward to seeing it! You know one story I will never forget is how you first introduced your blue fox coat one Christmas! I wish that more people would decide to introduce themselves in fur that way! fox4me
Hi Whitefox and all. I wound up with a silver mink with a matching fox collar. It is a mirror image of my ranch mink with a black dyed fox collar. I got a good deal on it . Now I have to get the funds together to get it altered to fit me properly. As far as comming out of the fur closet, it's one of the few smart things I've done in my life. Nothing gives me more pleasure than going out on a cold day in one of my wonderful fur coats. All I ever get are compliments, and the feeling of being wrapped in a lush fur coat is just wonderful.
Guest
Likewise fox4me Coming to this site and opening up finally gave me the courage to get out with furs. Gradually at first but I can hardly wait for the daytime temp to get a few degrees cooler now so I can begin wearing my jackets. OFF
WinnipegFur
Its becoming borderline furable in the evenings here as lows are just above 0C (32F)... there is a call for flurries this weekend, and a high of only +3, and a low of -5... As Ive said before I really hate winter... fur is goood, but -30 is not pleasant... I had to take my Coyote parka in for repair/cleaning last week, so I should have it for the weekend.... maybe depending on the day/temp when I pick it up Ill wear it back home... JGalanos
I'll be picking up my furs this weekend. With temps dipping into the 30's at night it's about time to transition from da faux to da real thing.
FurLoverinFL
Not here, White. It's still in the 90s these days. I'll be headed off to get my good furs out of storage in a month or so. FLinFL
JGalanos
Pushing this ~6 week old but still very relevant post to the top of the heap.
AKcoyote
As the temperature here is 9F (-13C) at the moment and could dip to -5 F (-20C) tonight, it is virtually guaranteed that I will be wearing my coyote parka tomorrow as I did today. Kappa
I was on my way to check out at Best Buy last night and was surprised to see a woman wearing a full length mink with hood! It was only around 48F and drizzling out. I guess she was looking for a excuse to wear it. Never mind the fact that the girl at the register carded me, as a after-thought, when I was picking up a new game for my XBox. Once she saw my age, she was honestly surprised. Apparently, she believed that I was close to her age and in high school. That's what I get for shaving and combing my hair I guess..

That's what I get for shaving and combing my hair I guess.. That's why I always say that it's better to look like you just climbed out of an old refrigerator box! Seriously, we haven't had an appropriate day to wear fur outside. Temperatures are in the 50's by day and barely get down to the 30's by night. We still get rainy weather but not as much as last month. We only had one day, so far, when it snowed. It was all gone by the next day. Damn! I hate this "in between" weather! It should either be warm or cold!
