LittleEd
Hi Our server and website/forum FFG was under heavy attack, so we blocked automatic many IP ranges worldwide. Probaly one of your IP adresses was into this block, that was causing some acces problems for some members. Did you try AKcoyote suggested? Such problems are frequently in the user's browser. I suggest: Clear the cache; Clear all cookies; Make sure you are not blocking cookies from that website; Make sure you are allowing javascript from that website. While the above listed items may not clear all browser related problems, they will clear up a surprising number of login/access issues. Otherwise what error message you get when you try acces the forum or website? show me what errors you get when you try access, and i will help you. Regards Cookie Well, it's happening again. I was able to access FFG about three weeks ago, for three or four days. And I have not been able to access it since then. I tried everything AKcoyote suggested, but it didn't help. I mostly try to access it with firefox, and here are the error messages that I get: Unable to connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at http://www.furfashionguide.com. * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. I also cannot access it with Internet Explorer nor Safari. The only thing that I can think of that might help is that I used to have McAfee security and replaced it Norton Security Suite. Nevertheless, I have checked all of my settings in Norton Security Suite and found nothing that would prevent me from visiting FFG. Hope this information has been helpful so you can help me. Sincerely, ED (FFG id FrancisIL)
AKcoyote
The Firefox messages in the previous post are basically a timeout condition - Firefox did NOT receive any response from the website within about 2 or 3 minutes. This could be due to any of: a network problem (router failure or line down anywhere between your computer and the website's server); a DNS problem (could not resolve the IP address for the URL specified); the website's server is down (maintenance?, power failure?); the website's server is ignoring traffic from your IP address. Also the items listed by Firefox are possibilities. Another potential although remote possibility is your ISP is blocking access to some sites including FFG. White Fox
I did just try their site and got in no problem. It is possible though that they are having technical problems. I noticed that the last couple of days their site has not had the normal number of posts. It is possible that they have been having problems keeping others from entering as well. If so it will likely clear up VERY shortly. W
