Worker 11811
Nice picture! Since it is from wikipedia, the photo is public domain. You can post it in the gallery if you like. There are no restrictions, however, it would be polite if you gave credit where credit is due.

samurman
Apparently, Kuerschner, the person who uploaded this picture to Wikipedia is a German-speaking furrier. Check out all his uploads, they contain a lot of informative and historical pictures related to the fur trade, furriers, and the furrier's craft: http://toolserver.org/~daniel/WikiSense/Gallery.php?wikifam=commons.wikimedia.org&img_user_text=Kuerschner The following are some pictures of different fur pelts (file names are self explanatory): http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Mink_colours.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Blackglamaskins.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Mink_greycross.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Wild_mink_skins.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Mongolian_fox_skins.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Gray_Fox_fur-skins.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Shadow_Bluefrost_Fox.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Bobcat_fur-skins.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Zobel_Bargusinski_roh.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Marmot_fur_skin.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Seal_skin.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Fish_otter_fur-skins.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Skunks_fur_skins.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Burunduk_fur-skins.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Spitznutria.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Badger_skins.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Beaver_skin.jpg
Worker 11811
It looks like they are all public domain as well! There's nothing to stop them from being uploaded to the gallery. Since they are PD, people can do anything they want with them. (Within limits of good taste, of course.) Personally, I would prefer that the original poster of the pictures get credit for them and, if possible, a link back to his site would be good. In the internet world, sometimes that's almost as good as money.
