Golden Oldies - Carole Landis (part 1)

For those of you unfamiliar with Carole Landis she was usually the second female lead to stars like Betty Grable , Judy Garland and Rita Hayworth. During the Second World War she spent more time visiting Allied troops than any other actress - tragically she committed suicide in 1948 at the age of 29 , supposedly because the actor Rex Harrison was about to break off their illicit affair.

I concur with s1m17 on the first of his faves....thats a great photo...and who is the lady on the left?

 

I particularly like the smoking ones too naturally...already had some of them.

I think it is Joyce Compton from a film called Turnabout. It could be Verree Teasdale but i don't think so. The lady on the right is Mary Astor and the man stood behind her is Adolphe Menjou. The other men are John Hubbard and William Gargan but i am not sure who is who.
